Visited today tuesday 12.30 pm, table prebooked group of 5. Did not receive our meals until 1.30 pm due to a party of people receiving their food. Not many staff.
Sat right by the toilets not ideal. Wish we had moved to another table nearby that was free.
Meals finally arrived.
Food nice and hot.
It could have been a better experience really. Hopefully this review is helpful.

Really nice friendly pub with great staff and huge choice of drinks. If you ask for coffee with hot oat milk you get a decent jug full too. Lovely setting with various places to sit inside and out or next to the river

We visited as a group of 4 and were quickly shown to our table which was booked for 6.30. We waited a long time to be asked what we would like to drink and even longer time to actually get our food, over an hour. The staff were lovely and it was busy ish for a Tuesday evening but it was a good job we weren't in a rush or very hungry! The food when it arrived was fine, although we did have to send the peas back as they were clap cold. We weren't offered the pudding menu and had to wait a while for the coffees to come. We had an enjoyable evening but probably wouldn't travel the 10 miles to visit again. Just feel there were enough waiting staff on that the service should have been better, they were very pleasant and helpful but lacked leadership and direction.

Had dinner at the pub on a Thursday evening after being recommended by our Airbnb. Best recommendation ever! Wonderful old pub. Lovely and welcoming staff and the food was superb with a good choice.

We visited The Old Bridge for the first time this weekend and we will CERTAINLY be returning.
I expect to walk on and the pub be quite dark and dingy. It was the complete opposite. It was bright, felt spacious but cosy and welcoming. I was very pleasantly surprised for such an old, traditional pub.
We had a table of 5; 4 adults and a toddler and we were eating from the Sunday menu. There was also a very good separate menu for children with varied options and great portions!
The food was DELICIOUS and the service was faultless. The staff were friendly, welcoming, patient and...just wonderful.
We will be back. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Had lunch here for the first time yesterday, and it was superb. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and down to earth. There was a very wide choice of food and the bacon & brie sandwich and goats cheese salad were both excellent and great value for money given the portion sizes and quality of the ingredients. Hand cut chips were gorgeous, and very filling. The pub had a good atmosphere even at midday with a mixture of locals and walkers. The staff really were excellent and we plan on visiting again when in the area.

Local pub/restaurant in the centre of Ripponden. We've been here a few times. Limited menu but good food and excellent wine. You may have to wait a little for your food but certainly worth visiting.

Wonderful little pub/eatery.
Established in 1307. It's like taking a stope back in time eating here.
The food was exceptional ?
The service was brilliant, they have lovely friendly staff.
Beautiful location next to the river.
Would highly recommend if you want lovely food in a lovely place.
Parking: Two areas for parking.
One at the front of the pub and another over the bridge opposite the church.
