A decent affordable 1920s theme tea room, playing "all that jazz" music, providing good house homemade bakery. A bit hidden location at a side slope road but have one hour free parking outside (check details when arrive).if you need some service, or attention, just ring the bell on the table. Extra marmalade FREE, extra strawberry jam, FREE, extra lemon for tea, FREE!
The great gatsby lovers must not miss the upstairs vintage shop too.

What a wonderful little cafe. 1920?s or 40?s themed. Not immediately obvious it?s there from the outside, they have a nice window with some of their treats in but their seating is all downstairs and there?s a good few tables. All decorated lovely, some old music playing. The food was nice. Had the afternoon tea the sandwich was on nice fresh bread and tasted good. The scone was lovely. The staff were so nice, very helpful and kind.

Bit of a problem....once we had the scones from here we cannot eat scones from anywhere else!!! Best scones for miles around and lovely staff always happy to help/assist. I love the decor/ambience but admittedly I have been in the antiques trade for over 30 years and love the Art Deco Period.
We discovered this little gem in 2018 and have been numerous times including with a disabled friend and the owner bent over backwards to assist with access.
We usually come in small groups but we have booked up to 12 and as long as you book in advance and discuss your requirements then there should not be any issues.
We always manage to find parking and the selection of other desserts/food has never been a disappointment. Looking forward to coming again soon!

A group of us had the Christmas afternoon tea. All really liked the festive drinks, soup starter, different sandwiches and dessert options. Very generous and delicious slices of cake. Been twice in two months for lunch and the food and service is great.

Friendly staff and whether it's just a take away coffee or a spot of lunch it's an excellent little place.

Amazing place!
The food is very good, the cakes are delicious! There's also a spot of shopping to be done, with many vintage items laid over 2 floors!
I absolutely recommend it!

What a great place! I had the "half" afternoon tea which at £10 was great value. Lovely egg mayonnaise sandwiches on delicious bread, very tasty homemade tomato soup and the best chocolate cake I have had for some time. With tea included and a warm welcome and friendly staff. Quirky decor and nice atmosphere. Would strongly recommend!

Very disappointed with the afternoon tea my friend and I had yesterday. The sandwiches were made with thick dry bread with the crusts still on!!!!! None of the cakes were fresh and the amount we got for £20 wasn't enough. There wasn't any little trifles or anything of that description. The scone was nice and we had plenty of tea also the lady was friendly but I would give this place a miss. The venue is very tired....needs updating.
You can see all the food in the photo definitely not worth £40.
