I have stayed here several times and find its location extremely well suited for my purpose. Comfortable room, hot shower and an excellent hot breakfast. Reception staff polite and courteous.

We stayed for 2 nights for a family occasion. Good value for money and staff were friendly and helpful. The lady at breakfast deserves a special mention as we saw her helping the less able bodied guests with their breakfasts in a discreet way. The carpet in our room was a little tired. My only niggle is that although the bathroom, bedding etc were clean, there were marks on the wall and windowsill that needed cleaning off ie coffee splashes and spider poo. Head of Housekeeping needs to do some checks!

You get what you pay for, and this hotel is very, very cheap!The good: The hotel is really well located for Shipley, and is really cheap. The shower had excellent water pressure. The hotel is really cheap. There's a Lidl pretty much across the road, so unless you really, really want a fry up, you can skip the pricy hotel breakfast and grab a few pastries from there instead. Also, did I mention that the hotel is really cheap?!The not so good: As mentioned in countless other reviews already, the cleanliness of the hotel could be better. The carpets in particular (both in the shared hallways and inside the room) were pretty manky. The sink was permanently stained. Housekeeping was patchy - clearly no attempt to vacuum or wipe down surfaces was made, as evidenced by crumbs still being there. But the really important bits of cleanliness seemed fine at least - the bed, sheets, towels and shower all seemed decently clean.If you're in search of luxury or trying to impress someone, or if someone else is paying, look elsewhere. But if you just need somewhere cheap to sleep with excellent access to Shipley, this Ibis isn't an awful option.

I regularly stay at the Ibis in Shipley, when visiting my Father. I always receive a very warm welcome and the staff always make a fuss of my two dogs who are also regulars. In particular the reception staff are all lovely and the lady who looks after the rooms is always very attentive and makes sure we have the much loved jammy dodgers. I can't remember her name but she's been there for years. It's reassuring to see the familiar faces who we know will make sure our stay pleasant but this time there was a new lady on the reception team (again I should have taken her name). She is a great addition to the team and made us feel very much at home. Although some of the fixtures and fittings are starting to look a little tired, it just goes to show that a friendly face and a warm welcome makes such matters less significant. We will be back again soon. Please pass on our thanks to all the team - Juliette, Andrew and the dogs.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good and the location of the hotel is excellent. However tha badly stained carpets in room 108 and the hallway leading to it let's the hotel down badly, as they make you wonder what else you are going to find.Rooms: Carpeting needs replacing

Hotel was fine. Clean, comfy and friendly staff BUT BEWARE just received parking charge! Not idea why! We entered our details in the screen at reception as requested but don't know why we have been fined for the last day!. We are appealing the fine. Be very careful . read everything very carefully so you are not caught out on some technicality!

I understand that it is a two star hotel, but there are certain standards that I would still expect. The staff were lovely and welcoming and very helpful. However, the room was not particularly clean. When we moved the beds, there was dirt underneath and the dirty tissue. the duvet was badly stained. There were tea and coffee facilities for two people, but alas, the packet of three custard creams was all broken!

Great welcome and really nice hotel! The reception staff (night shift as we arrived late) were adorable and the room was very comfortable! We recommend (the staff are impressive) !

The hotel is looking tired and in need of some maintenance. Both times I've stayed there were unpleasant smells from the sink drainage. When the sign is hung outside to indicate not to change the sheets and towels there is no service at all to the room (not even replaced the biscuits!)However it is inexpensive and the breakfast is pretty good.Rooms: Basic but getting oldWalkability: Easy walk to saltaire and Shipley stationFood & drinks: Breakfast is good

Busy hotel but in a quiet location with free parking for hotel guests who register at front desk. Hotel has food and drink options but alcohol serving stops at 12. Some food and soft drinks 24hr. Pool table, in house breakfast and free WiFi. Good value.

Had a one night stay, the check in service was excellent. The room I stayed in on the ground floor was large and the bed was comfortable. The room did have a strange smell to it and was a bit tired and dusty.Food & drinks: Nice hungry horse on the doorstep.

I stayed whilst assisting a friend who is lacking in mobility and was visiting other friends. I have stayed here before. Prior communication regarding the accessible room and the room itself was excellent. The hotel has a good location by the canal, but with a view of the hills at the front (albeit it not uninterrupted ) Parking is easy. There is a new Costa and Lidl very close. All staff were friendly and we had a real "Yorkshire" welcome. Sadly, though, I do have to agree with the reviewers who report that the Hotel feels scruffy, in particular the hall carpets which are unacceptably stained. Who thought is was a good idea to install partly cream carpets in a Hotel corridors then not clean them ? Chairs in the lounge have chunks out of them and felt tatty....why ? I am not sure either that breakfast was worth the price with an alternative opposite. My room was large and with a great bathroom and powerful shower and we did enjoy the stay, but with reservations...... The price was competitive but given the state of the Hotel ...fair. I would have given 3.5, but erred on the generous....because of the welcome and accessibility.

Location is next to canal and very convenient to Skipton town centre. Room was clean and tidy. Food and bar available in the evenings, with room service available all night. Breakfast in the morning is good, hot and cold options available as well as coffee, juice and water. Takeaway cups available for coffee as well,which is very nice.

the pillows were very stiff and multiple members of the family that had stayed there with us have all woken up with bites including ourselves and all of the framing was loose. not worth the price that we paid.

Staff very welcoming friendly and very helpful ? breakfast was ok lots of choice but not very fresh? the cleanliness of our room and all of the hotel was absolutely terrible. Good location and it was nice and quiet
