Dishonest & DisrespectfulWherever possible we try to support local businesses. Earlier this year we bought a washer from the Keighley branch - this time we decided to use the Shipley branch.We bought a new replacement dishwasher July 2023 and also enquired about a replacement built in oven & hob and some advice. The person we spoke to on the phone said the engineer would need to check & measure, may need to look at the back as it?s an old oven (20yrs) and advise us accordingly for our future purchase.As arranged the engineer Dave came along with another guy-labourer?. When I relayed the phone conversation regarding the oven he scoffed and said ?I don?t know who you spoke to but that?s a load of rubbish - they don?t know what they?re talking about - I can measure it if you want but they?re all standard size?. This did not fill us with confidence from the start.They fitted the appliance, said he?d done a test cycle-all was well, and they left. We went out that night so didn?t use it. The next day we used the sink to rinse dishes and filled our new appliance. When we came back to the kitchen later on there was a leak of water over our floor so we stopped the dishwasher and when we opened the cupboards under the sink it was swimming with water! After removing everything from the cupboards and running the tap we could see water was coming from the U-waste pipe. Upon inspection we found that it was loose with one side cross threaded and not straight. The whole thing was not screwed on properly and was only held on by a slight turn. We removed & put back on properly and screwed on tight as it had been before and the leak stopped. We cleaned & mopped up disposing of wet damaged items. It was then that we also saw the kickboard under the cabinets had not been put back correctly and when we went out to the bins we found a piece of the packaging had been disposed of over the tall gate to the back garden.The next day we called Andrew?s who apologised (James) and asked what we wanted to happen-what were we looking for, we replied that we thought this was their place to decide that. We offered to share photos of the incident but they said this was not necessary and they would speak to the engineer & owner (Andrew) and get back to us later. When James called back he said an engineer needed to come out to make sure everything was ok. He came the next day.The engineer came (Dave) with another engineer - after listening & looking at the site he apologised and said it was the fault of the other guy-the labourer (?) that he must not have fixed it on properly and that this was the second leak he had caused on a job and would be having a word with him, adding that he was also responsible for not putting back the cabinet kickboard properly and said he couldn?t be trusted to do anything!He apologised for the situation and reassured us again that he would be speaking to the guy about what he?d done & what had happened. He said the packaging must have blown under the gate (this couldn?t possibly have happened as there?s not enough space). He took photos under the sink apologised again and left. This all happened in front of the other Andrews engineer, myself and my adult son.The next day James called back after saying he needed to consult with the engineer and read the report. He said ?I?m sorry but the appliance was fitted correctly and the leak was caused by a previous issue/fault with your waste pipe - there?s nothing we can do?.After some unhappy discussion and relaying what Dave had said-he said he would investigate further and get back to me.When he called the next day he repeated the above statement again and when I contested and repeated what the engineer had told us he said, and I quote ?He only said those things to appease you? and concluded by saying there was nothing else they could do.I would hate someone else, especially those who live alone or elderly to have to deal with this dishonest & disrespectful behaviour and awful customer service.Our advice is to definitely avoid and go elsewhere.

I would never use this company again we took our microwave into get repaired 3 months ago & its still been sat in there shop waiting for it to be done had no joy so my hubby went to collect it bk this morning enough is enough now .weve had no communication what so ever from the shop any updates on how its goin they didnt tell us that it could take upto 6 months for the part to arrive when we took it in & paid the £15 deposit up front absolute joke definatley wont be using this company avoid at all costs if u need any repairs doing .i know we will we didnt even recieve the 15pound deposit bk neither ??

I purchased a hoover from Andrews Electrical Keighley/Shipley and needed some advice on how to work it. Not only did Andrew himself show me how to get the best out of the hoover, but he took time and patience to make sure I knew exactly what I was doing. Every aspect of the hoover was covered, with extra tips on how to make it suit my needs. I cannot recommend Andrews Electrical enough the after care is first class with the added personal touch (rare to find these days)

Burning smell coming from our washer dryer. Engineer was prompt and courteous, explained the issue and cost of repair. He pointed out as we had asked, that it would be better to buy a new machine because of the cost of the part and age of machine (20 years old).Brilliant service, concise description of issue and estimated cost. Very pleased with the entire service I received here , it made me realise that there is a need for us to seek out smaller independent businesses because there is more of a personal service . The two engineer?s that came to fit my integral dishwasher and microwave were faultless and could not do enough to ensure good quality service , leaving not a trace behind them and ensuring I fully understood the workings of the appliance?s and that I was happy with them . Totally disgusted with the aggressive abusive language and behaviour towards us after requesting a refund on goods not delivered after been given three delivery dates over three weeks. AVOID this place at all cost!!!!!
