Called for family meal late Sunday, wide range on the menu and the specials. There were only two meats left, so opted for beef. The beef was the star so tender. Unfortunately the rest not so. Vegetables especially the swede was under cooked. The Two roasties we had each were soggy and well done, Yorkshires flat and the gravy gelatinous. Thought we'd try dessert... blackberry and apple crumble..crumble tasted like it was out of a bag, very powdery and there was very little flavour in it to be honest. One final note, the tables seemed very low and chairs uncomfortable. Shame really as it's a lovely big place. Sadly we won't return.

Traditional pub, reasonable prices. Nice outdoor seating area and a decent offering at the bar.

Came here yesterday with our motorhome which we parked in the field by the White Horse pub. Had a lovely meal, staff were super friendly. Thankyou for letting us stay the night. Highly recommend.

Been here before for the large beer garden and the food was OK. Today I ordered the beef and onion baguette with chips. The food was luke warm, beef was tough as old boots and the chips were under cooked and rock hard. Sorry when this is your living you shouldn't be getting it so wrong. I won't be coming back.

Our group of 6 visited following a trip to Nostel Priory NT, only 5 min drive away. Easy to park. We'd pre-booked on the advice of other reviews that there wasn't a huge amount of inside space, good advice for a bigger group. On arrival, we were expected and shown to our reserved table. The outside seating area looks nice for another sunny day.
Service was good, friendly and efficient. There was a good food choice and we ordered a variety of meals off the menu and the specials board. All we're delivered together, hot and good portions. The chunky chips were great as I'm told was the mash with the lamb shank off the specials board.
We opted not to have starters or desserts, due to having had lunchtime nibbles only a few hours earlier, but the choice looked good and we'll plan for this in future. The White Horse is a find for us with future visits highly likely.

Really nice pub amd dog friendly. Food was really good and not a ling wait. I would advise to book as quite small inside. Outdoor seating with good views available though.

Such a lovely venue to have a party. We had my husbands surprise 40th here and it was fab. The staff have been very helpful from booking the venue to the end. The function room is lovely. The only thing I would suggest is to have a bar working rather than waiting for staff to get your orders from the main pub bar.
Thank you

Absolutely gorgeous food in a lovely place. The downside is that it's a doggy pub if you don't like dogs, especially when owners don't keep their dogs on leads, causing potential problems when other dogs enter into the same environment

Worth a trip out for a meal any time. Outside area for sunny days. Plenty of parking.
Book in advance if going for Sunday lunch.

Dogs are allowed also.

Food okay but overpriced. Chunky chips were overcooked and fish varied in size but staff made a joke out of if. Next time I will go and spend my hard earned £40 elsewhere.
