First time visit for a family Sunday lunch six adults and four children. We were all made to feel very welcome. Despite the large order it arrived in a timely fashion and was beautiful. The sunday roast was fabulous special children?s menu was appreciated. Would definitely recommend

We arrived at midday for food with our 2 year old all ready for some lunch. We placed a drinks order and waited to make a food order once the staff members had finished their lengthy conversation. We were told a couple of minutes after making the order that ?there are a few problems with your food order?. There was ?no pizza and no mash potato because nobody communicates with each other?. Not what you want to hear. We decided to eat somewhere else as our order comprised of pizzas, garlic bread and steak pie with mash potato. Fortunately for us we were still charged for the drinks! First time visit but also the last.

Sunday lunch was gorgeous! The amount of roast beef you got was amazing! Lovely big Yorkshire pudding, 3 large roast potatoes and lots of veg with gravy! Best Sunday roast I have for a while

Had a lovely lunch Today, and it has had a refurb since the last time we came. Spoilt for choice with food as all sounded amazing. We went for the sebass and the belly pork... Both equally delicious and very well cooked and presented. We will be back!

Brilliant service from a lady with long brown hair. High waisted pale brown trousers and a black top. Super friendly and efficient. Steak was rarer than I requested but the meat cut was so good it was delicious. My parents devoured their chicken. And my little sausage dog was in her element. Wine was beautiful too. Only criticism is it?s a bit pricey but I?d pay it again for that quality. Thanks for a lovely eve. Wanted to cheer my dad up and it did and my mum loved her latte

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere. The building itself has some nice character features as a nod to its previous use ? Food was perfect and the staff couldn?t do enough to help. We will certainly be returning.

This pub is a true gem. The food and service was fantastic. The landlord takes amazing care of you and is an incredible woman. An old railway station that has stayed true to its roots, the Buffers is a spot for everyone.

Lovely Sunday roast. Super nice saff, plenty good quality grub. Proper gravy and plenty of it. Good beers, I had a lovely pint of peroni . Would definitely recommend highly. ?

What a great little pub not been in for over 20 years but looking on Google thought we would give it a try. On arrival suprised only a few locals in having a couple of drinks. The staff member was friendly and very welcoming. Food was so good, think its the best burger ive had in a very long time. Can't believe it wasnt busy !!!! Will definitely be recommending it to family and friends and can't wait to go back xxx

What a disappointment! We last visited some time ago and this lovely little pub seems to have gone to the dogs. We ordered drinks, unfortunately before we were told that no food was being served that day. We went to sit out side in the dirty little beer garden, strewn with rubbish and broken glass under the table and in fact were so disgusted we left our drinks and went elsewhere. The whole place needs refurbishing and it needs a good clean outside to bring it back to the Buffers we remember so well!

Really cool railway inspired pub with plenty of seating space with a nice ? garden. The Sunday roast was rather nice I've been told but I went for the Sirloin which was just delicious - fully recommended.

The Pub itself is brilliant. Great decor and friendly staff.The one big let down is the outside seating area/ beer garden.The grass isn't cut and there are mudded areas. There is a horrible kiddies play slide that looks disgusting!The tables and chairs under the veranda on the old platform are dirty and you need to wipe them before sitting down.If someone spent a day sorting it all out it would look far better.
