First time at the inn in at scarcroft, will definitely be coming back. Food was outstanding, good value for money. Friendly attentive staff. Clean relaxing atmosphere.

We used to go here quite often but wasn't really happy with the staff. Oh, how that's changed. Liam, who made us feel very welcome (that's a 1st) and looked after us and brought our drinks to the table and also brought our food, which was delicious. We just wanted to say thank you to Liam and let him know he is doing a brilliant job and that we will definitely back ?

Fantastic visit all round, staff couldn't have done more for us. Food was appealing to the eye and the taste was great to follow.
Cask ale very nice and a great selection of draft too.!!

Had an amazing Sunday lunch here and ontop of this I had a wonderful host, Maia . She went above and beyond for me and my family and I couldn?t thank her enough.

It seems like I'm repeating negative things from previous reviews from the last few months; things that the respondent said would be used to improve the service. It hasn't.
We were seated in the dining area, and were told someone would be over to take our order. We were sat there for over half an hour without even a drink. I even went over to the bar to ask if we could order and there was zero sense of urgency or care.
We had a mixture of old and new menus, so I'd ordered a (vegan) starter that wasn't even on the menu any more, and the next starter I tried to order from the right menu wasn't available, so I gave up at that point. If I'd known how long everything would take I might have been tempted to fill up on olives, or something!
Food was very average, but at least after such a long wait we were hungry.
Had to ask for cutlery and condiments.
Service was incredibly slow, with one person being friendly and helpful, the others... just not. Everything took such a long time and it was very quiet, I'd hate to be there on a busy evening. The fact that it was so quiet on a Friday evening at peak time says a lot, I think. We won't be back.

I have not had the opportunity to visit and eat in but have ordered takeaway twice and on both occasions the food has been delicious, hot and well presented. The Signature burger is especially tasty. I would highly recommend ordering from The Inn.

Wow! I can honestly say in 40 years that I have ever felt so unwelcome in a pub. We had booked a table to eat for 8 people and when we arrived she was so rude we decided to leave without even having drinks. A meal for 8.....their loss!!!! Hope she turns her frown upside down before she loses more customers!!!!
