Great local restaurant, not a chain. Decent atmosphere for a Wednesday evening. Food was tasty, we had the 2 - 3 spring courses menu which made it better value, that said, I felt it was on the more expensive side to be going there too often. Our bill for 3, including 2 bottles of prosecco, 2 x 2 courses and 1 x 3 courses was £170.
Probably better for a more special night out than just a pop out tea at the local Italian
Staff were friendly and it is a lovely place to visit

Salute at the white swan is the place to go in rothwell on a night. It?s had a lovely refurb, the food is delicious and the team are just amazing. We were served by Ruby M on Sunday night and she took care of us all night long and made our experience even better. Also top notch latte art skills :) Definitely recommend

Me, my partner and daughter dined on Friday late afternoon for the first time in a few months. The service recieved was the poorest I've come across ever since I started going to Salute. It started from the get go of a half hearted welcome from behind the bar and find your own seat policy, which not a big issue on it's own merit. However during the meal having to get up to order our families drinks at the bar and having to do the same for the bill, takes the biscuit when their seemed to be more staff than customers. The staff seemed to interested in their own conversations then doing the absolute basics in hospitality such as checking everything is okay with our meal, anymore drinks, etc. To make things worse, the bill was incorrect twice, asked for the service charge (which doesn't get passed to the staff) to be removed, it was then claimed to be removed by the waitress, however before I realised that the charge hadn't been taken off it was too late. Food was the only positive of the visit.
We used to be frequent visitors to Salute, it has taken a nosedive on service.

While the food is of a very high standard it was disappointing not to be offered parmesan with a pasta dish.
Staff are very friendly but the service is poor. Waiting times for everything is abysmal. If we had had a starter and coffee that would have been another hour.
To end our three hour visit we were told we had 5 minutes to vacate the table! Not our fault it took 3 hours to deliver three courses!

Very good food and cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff.. Regularly go here. Would have given 5 stars but its not always consistent - I've had the same pizza there a few times.but when it's part of the early bird menu the toppings were not as plentiful. Most recently the new addition of the Crispy chicken melt / burger has been delicious. Can be pricey. Dutch fries are amazing when the potatoes are fully cooked (which they are 9/10 times)

Very snazzy! Food is freshly made.... the alcohol is not cheap, nearly £7 a pint its madri or a 5p cheaper beer they said was available.... shandy is still charged as a beer which i think is crazy! Two mains a portion of chips & 2 drinks each over £65 which i thinks pricy..... wouldn't go again cause of the prices!

We've dined here a few times over the years and have never been particularly impressed, but we decided to give it another try for lunch and actually had a really nice meal. The prawn bruschetta was really tasty (although quite small!) and the Calzone was excellent. We'll definitely return.

Service charge does not go to the staff
Great food and service, when paying at the end I asked about the 10% service charge and if it goes to the staff. Was informed that it doesn?t and they are not allowed to say unless asked specifically. Quite concerning and the first place in years that does not give the charge to the staff
