Fantastic place, fabulous food, lovely atmosphere

On arrival this place was very popular. Unfortunately we couldn't get a seat inside so we sat at the front on the high street. No issue though the service was great and we were well looked after.
Coffee was incredible.
I ordered a full English breakfast.
I couldn't give this 5 star for food because there is better out there and it was on the expensive side.
1 sausage and 1 egg just wasn't enough.
The toast was a bit solid and the mushrooms were a bit soggy. But overall it wasn't terrible.
As a lover of breakfast If I returned here I would probably order something different that wasn't as expensive but had the better parts of a full english breakfast in it. As the sausage and bacon were simply lovely.

A fantastic local independent cafe. The staff are welcoming and friendly. It's always busy with a great atmosphere and the food is delicious. It's dog friendly inside and outside which is fantastic and the small gift shop is a great idea. The coffee is great and I've never been disappointed by any of the cakes I've sampled. Loving locally this is always my first point of call when meeting friends for coffee or when I want a long lazy walk with the dogs with a warming treat at the end.

Found this little cafe from a Google search for brunch within the area - it's lovely!
Biscoff iced latte (a special) is 10/10, special loaded Mexican hash browns were a nice change too to the usual breakfast food, and pancakes were really good. Very busy and lovely atmosphere.

I?ve ordered a buffet style afternoon tea for 35 people for a work event. Gray?s did not disappoint! Food was AMAZING, very fresh, in fact some bits were fresh out of oven, still warm ? everyone enjoyed it, scones and pork pies were definitely amongst the favourites ? definitely recommend!

The food is tasty and well presented but the portions are a little small for me, especially for the price.

Called in for some brunch with my mum and sister one morning. I had the Chorizo Eggs Benedict and OMG OMG OMG, it was absolutely unreal! Mum had pancakes with banana and yogurt and said they were the best pancakes she?s had. My sister had scrambled egg on sourdough with mushrooms and again, said it was delicious. Coffee was great and it was lovely to be able to sit outside in the sun, proper holiday vibes!
Will certainly be back again in the near future.

Honestly don?t have enough good words to say about Gray?s. The food, the coffee, the staff, the atmosphere? just everything is SO lovely. We are always so welcomed when we arrive, and the amazing team (that create the best food and drinks) can?t do enough for you. Also recently loving their hot honey hash browns and bobby dazzler specials! Best café in Rothwell, by far.

Breakfast is good. I like the fresh tomatoes and the toast.
But the coffee disappointed me. It tastes bitter. Next time will try other drinks.

Had breakfast on Monday morning and thoroughly underwhelmed, the place is tired, dirty walls & floors and scuffed marked paintwork, the carpet on the stairs was a stained as a tramps vest. My partner went to the bathroom and she said there were cobwebs everywhere and the bins were overflowing from the previous day.
We both ordered a full breakfast, the quality of the ingredients was fine, 1 x sausage over cooked each, 2 x rashers of bacon barely cooked each and a plate full of beans with a slice of sour dough toast on top. Waitress came out a few minutes after serving food to apologies for not including mushrooms and brought a couple of ramakins of them.
The food pass was cluttered and messy and from table 6 you could see the grease hadn't been cleaned from it and was running down the fascia, but it provided the ideal spot for 2 waitresses moaning they were hungover from previous night.
We came following a recommendation, which is unfortunate, wouldn't return and certainly wouldn't recommend, £27 for 2 breakfasts and a coffee, would rather pay a little more and eat somewhere clean
