This is the MOST APPALLING BOOTS BRANCH I have ever been !!! I?ve ended up paying a fine of £100, 3 months after picking up a prescription in this place, BECAUSE OF SOMEONE?S NEGLIGENCE ? Reading the reviews, looks I?m not the only one ?5 years ago someone else had the same issue ? and nothings change since then ? Not going there even for a single toothpaste !!!

I like this chemist go shopping in rothwell so easier to pick my prescriptions up here always have flu jab here staff friendly never had a problem with prescriptions bit of a pain if you need to ring up but they are busy people filling out prescriptions for others plus running the place ?

Here?s my experience from being here for over a year:
Never answer the phone and some of us don?t have time to rush down to the pharmacy just when we need to ask a single question.
They never ever have my medication in stock. I struggle with migraines and they never stock it, despite me collecting the same medication every month.. I understand that a prescription is needed prior to dispensing, but when you have a regular customer I don?t understand why it?s so hard to not stock it preemptively? Especially since the medication acts as a pain relief so it?s literally a PRN and quite crucial in whether or not I?m going to struggle badly in pain or not.
They were also messing my nana around who was just trying to help me out because I work nights. They didn?t tell her there and then what was needed in order to issue a prescription so instead wasted more time of hers when she can?t be messing around for things like this.
Please take my review and implement some change, it?s like the lottery when I go down to get my prescription.. will they have it? Will I have to trail round other pharmacies? or just suffer all weekend with no meds because they don?t ?stock? it?
I can?t even change pharmacies because this is the only one open weekends.. what a waste!

Just want to praise the pharmacist who I saw on Saturday afternoon. I had had constipation since a recent heart attack and was worried about what laxatives I could take given the meds I am on.
He spent plenty of time reviewing and explaining what was safe. A credit to the company.

Lack of staff, lack of care. Waiting some times weeks later for a prescription, then not having it ready after send the text saying it's ready.
Items disappearing from prescriptions that where ordered and there, to straight up lying saying items would be there day after and nothing from boots to be told out of stock weeks later or GP or Nurses made a mistake.
Changed Pharmacy will not recommend to anyone.

30 years I?ve been shopping in this Boots store. Today I needed to call in on my way home from work. As I walked in the store they took one look at me in my work overalls and set the alarm off. Telling me to empty my pockets and leave. I hadn?t even touched the product I?d gone in to buy. They then preceded to look clueless as I took the product to the till and paid. I hope they review the footage and realise how ridiculous they are. I also had to explain to my daughter what social bias means. I won?t be back.

Told perscriprion ready Tuesday, dropped off the previous week. Got a message saying in progress then nothing. Called and was told oh its due to be delivered today you will get a text or we will call you if not in (Wednesday). No text no call. Called back today (Friday) no it's not in. Told its on the computer as being in stock. Asked if they could check...nope computer says no and they won't call. Two weeks wait now having to go back to gp which will take another 4 weeks. Complaint raised and not even acknowledged. I have changed pharmacy

Absolutely appalling. You can NEVER get through by phone and when you go there is always a queue or wait for the pharmacy. They never seem to have prescriptions ready even if you?ve sent it a week before? always have to send repeat prescription a week early for my child and can guarantee it?s still not ready to collect a week later? If the pharmacy part is busy there isn?t anyone to serve customers just going in for general purchases. It clearly needs more staff. I understand it?s not the employees fault but what a shambles it is.

We are finally changing chemists. Prescriptions are never ready even when you are asked to come back a day later. I'm sure boots won't mind losing money!!!

Underesouced or poorly managed. Have to wait a long time to be served EVERYTIME I go.Didn't think I'd ever say this, but they need to add self-checkout tills.

9/10 times prescriptions aren?t ready for over a week - often asked ?do you need your medication now??, yes otherwise I wouldn?t have been prescribed it!!! Often takes over 15 minutes to be served, and even longer to receive your prescription if ready, typically 30 minutes.

Cancelled our flu jabs the other week. Rebooked and now cancelled my husbands again with under an hours notice. Just really poor service.
