I visited today with my grand daughter an what a lovely visit we had.friendly an helpful staff,food was 100%,the atmosphere was so warming we would highly recommend.

Booked for afternoon tea for my friends birthday, well what can I say, it was absolutely gorgeous, you get a lot, the atmosphere is so relaxed, we've had to bring some of it home it was so filling, would highly recommend this cafe, the staff are lovely and so is the food. I come here quite often with other friends, just love it here.

First impression... friendly and neighbourhoodly cafe with good prices and nice food.... but you can outstay your welcome. I first ordered a coffee only and been told I cannot stay unless I order food to which I responded I will do a little later. I was made felt unwelcome and pushed towards leaving. My table had a reservation card for 1pm (I was there at 9am), then a new card for 10.45am and a 'gentle' reminder in form of receipt put on my table. Whereas other 1pm resevration tables were still free. I said I'd like to order another drink, and been told my order is not good for business as tables can bring up to £30-40 per table. There were several free tables, and other regular clients sitting in reading newspapers etc. It seems a shame as it's a lovely spot but somehow I was felt unwelcome to stay and had to go elsewhere to get my second drink - 'supporting buisness' elsewhere. I won't be recommending this place, suppose that's not good for business either, is it?

1 hour before closing walked in only to be told kitchen closed but can make a toasted tea cake we only wanted tea sandwiches and a cake or bun ?? now can anyone else tell me the difference of making sandwiches to making a toasted tea cake if the kitchen was closedNeedles to say we took off in search of another lovely tea room that also closed at the same time but was more welcomed there so nope we won't return to this astablishmet

Kid-friendliness: All the staff are absolutely lovely to my daughter every time we visit even if she?s a bit loud they always go the extra mile and even bring her colouring sets and little chocolates very nice people thank you
