This is the worst place I have ever gone.I booked a viewing with them and on viewing day I was late only 3 minute due to traffic and rain but I called many times to their office to tell them that I will be little late.but no one answered the phone. And I went to the viewing place but there was a very rude lady who assist us during our viewing didnt let us to view the property because we were late and thoroughly said the land lord never give us the property as I have a baby.then I went to the white gate pontefract and ask if the landlord doesnt like to give the property to the family with a baby why you arranged viewing.they speak to us very rudely. I am really disappointed with them.their service is really bad and don't know how to be respect to people

"Sorry, we don't do viewings out of office hours." So, if you have a 9-5 job you'll need to take time off work to view one of their properties. Worth knowing if you're going to try and sell a property with Whitegates. They don't exactly believe in going the extra mile for their clients. The female who took my call could not have been more brusque and unhelpful; a Yorkshire version of "Computer says 'no.'" Needless to say, I won't be looking any more Whitegates properties.

Avoid at all costs. We proceeded to have an offer accepted on a property following Whitegates South Elsmall own guide valuation. When the mortgage company had their own in person valuation done at the property they said it was worth 25k less. Yvonne admitted they are having lots of properties downvalued by actually surveyors but still they refuse to value properties adequately or tell their vendors the correct information.We?d also paid for a building survey which highlighted an extra 15k of work required. Still Whitegates have put the property back on the market at the original price of 220k.Legally they are supposed to tell buyers the truth about defects, building reports, previous offers that have fallen through and they are clearly not doing so

Good enough as estate-letting agents go. Rented a flat for just under a year. There where problems when I moved in but they sorted it pretty quickly. Tried to take money from the deposit for petty things. The service is ok and they won?t try and fleece you for money like most estate agents.

Well Google, I only walked past there today, but I have had recent dealings with Whitegates as it happens, and can highly recommend their excellent service, and attention to detail .

I rented a property for 11 months with Whitegates and it was a very smooth process. The property upkeep was fantastic at all times and maintenence issues fixed straight away. They have even been understanding of my issues during COVID-19.

I spent weeks cleaning the filthy, grease, dusty house I rented.Which Whitegates had informed me was ?clean...?I left a year later leaving the house immaculate after three hours cleaning, only to be falsely accused of all sorts of neglect, abuse and damage in an attempt to claim £451 of my bond...Good luck getting your Bond back!

Quick to decidd i owe them money for damages and always in a hurry to contact me to sort things out to add money to their pot but any issues my side ignored. Will not be using again ever. Terrible company to deal with

This is my own agency, so be warned that this review might be quite subjective. Agency is alright and has a very decent customer service with nice people. The response rate is fast and your queries will be answered relatively quickly( for an agency). I took one star away for the initial lack of response regarding the credit check( they forgot) and I should be taking a half a star for lack of card or cash payments. You need to do everything by the bank transfer, which can be annoying for some and can give a vibe of agency being phony and cheap. Apart from that, decent guys.
