Really good stay, the executive double room is spacious and all the staff are great.
We arrived without a booking (another hotel cancelled on us) for a wedding reception, but the receptionist, Lisa, was great, and got us checked in. She was friendly and checked we were all good throughout.

Lovely independently run hotel. Beautiful location. Wonderful rooms (We?ve stayed here several times!)
Staff are welcoming and so helpful. The food is excellent, and the full English. Breakfast was one of the best I?ve ever had!
The restaurant is nicely appointed and the choice from the menu is large. Just a two night stay this time, but we will be back!
P.S. Always worth ringing hotel direct to book!

Was travelling on business.Staff were amazing kind,funny,enthusiastic aswell I look forward to hopefully seeing them in the future if not on business a wee night away for me and the Mrs.Brillant place to stay guys give it a look into worth it?

Absolutely fantastic stay! Just finished a 4 night stay and from start to finish it was perfect. Clean and spacious room made for a pleasant stay throughout. Great reception staff who were extremely helpful. The Jacobean was exceptional, I cannot compliment the chefs enough on the quality and presentation of the food. The bar staff were all fantastic being very polite and attentive. I cannot wait to be back again in the near future.

Managed to hit on very lucky - Got deal on Groupon for 1 night in a luxury suite including 2 course evening meal and breakfast for 2 for £160. It was money well spent. The room was absolutely beautiful and so clean. It was even decorated for Christmas and we had our own Christmas tree. The room was 2 floors - king size bed (most comfortable mattress and pillows and bedding) with a little longer area upstairs and a huge bathroom! The food was to die for. Best salmon I have ever had! The staff were lovely, so chatty and friendly. I 100% reccomend this place!

Absolutely wonderful! Place is spotless, staff so friendly and accommodating. Fab chef, food outstanding. Grounds impeccable. I'm a spot picker but couldn't find any spots to pick. Looking forward to going again!
