Whilst I understand there has been a massive Cyber issue with on line sales I was disappointed after visiting Pontefract simply food Saturday 31/5/25 .
I visited for a few items and found a lot of the dried goods shelves were empty which I was quite surprised about as most of these items have a good shelf life unlike food in the fridges .
There was no Poppadoms , the 6 pack snack selection was non existent other than 1 choice of 6 packs crisps available and the rest of the shelves were just empty . There used to be an area prior to the tills full where the 6 pack choices were located , that does not exist anymore .
I visited Leeds Pudsy last week and that dried foods area ( not much bigger ) was fine and all well stocked .
Yes I know it is a much bigger store but why have they managed to keep shelves full but not Pontefract . I did approach a member of staff and queried who just stated they?ve issues with stock which of course I can see that . Dissapointed !

Lovely little shop, crammed with choice. Wheelchair accessible, but aisles are narrow. Staff always willing to help though

Went to M&S Pontefract on Sunday . The shop floor was well presented got all items I came in for . The customer service was excellent the young man Kiran was very polite and helpful. Hope I get to have service from again in the future .

Really poor service.. went to collect at click collect and no one was about. I stood waiting what felt like 15 mins and a woman next to me was waiting too, she's on crutches and no seats to wait. I had to find someone and finding no one except a Baker but even she struggle to find a staff too. Managed to collect my stuff but I'm not happy with the staff attitude either.. not a heltfelt apology.. terrible!

Fab little m&s food hall for the size of the shop. Great range of the m&s goodies. I was worried about moving from pudsey to castleford as pudsey's m&s is huge! But I've got to admit I haven't been disappointed there's always everything I'm wanting & needing. Never gets too busy either which is a huge plus! No queuing!

Poor queueing system in place. There is supposedly one queue for all checkouts, both manned and self service. However because it's at the far end of the store, customers are pushing in, many of whom aren't aware of the system. This is unfair and needs rectifying. Apart from that the store is usually well stocked with a good variety of products for its size and staff are friendly and helpful.

This is a really smart looking, efficiently run store. All the staff are very helpful, professional and curteous. A good selection of food and a good layout. We went today after 3.00 p. m. and some of the food was reduced in price so we could pick up a bargain too. This store is a great asset to Pontefract.

customer service refund team, absolutely disrespectful and distant in atitude ... I just bought a bag full of items today , exceeding 50£ in value ... and trying to get the 5£ off the whole purchase , I was so shocked being told by the customer service lady , that its taking too long and she is too busy to process the whole transaction ... poorest custo3.servise in the whole Pontefract
