We have just spent a couple of hours here 13/06/25. The warm welcome made us feel like we were regular visitors to the pub. We had the fish and chips which was very nice and really good value for money.

Been meaning to go for ages - no idea why we left it so long - had a pint of Taylor?s Golden Best (a pale mild ?) there were 3 others to choose from and Fish Chips and Mushy Peas. Quality was bob on, as good as Costa?s old chip shop in Scholes. Staff great, service uber fast and the prices great - chip shop prices to eat in. Really hope they do well - we would deff come again. A cheap night out in a great pub.

The food is absolutely top draw !! Bit pricey but you don't mind when it's that nice !! Pub is now under new management and has been for a while and I understand that they do a limited menu which consists of fish and chips cooked in the van outside . Apparently it's a pub that is now mainly frequented by the younger generation with a pool table and tvs ! While there's nothing wrong with that a lot of seniors enjoyed the meals here before the new tenants arrived and probably wouldn't enjoy the new layout.

New management are doing a great job. Friendly pub, with a good atmosphere.
There was sport on TV if that's what you want, but it wasn't too loud, and they had very sensibly set up the space with somewhere for sports fans, and another for those just socialising.
Maybe could do with some more ales, though.

We called for a drink one Saturday evening and it was dead but apparently had been busy in the afternoon. Drinks average price for a bar. Pool expensive at £1 a game but it's a nice table. Would be a good place for a disco as inside is large and has been taken back to the stone.
I would recommend.

Not for me. Went since it reopened and just not for me. I wanted a nice quiet drink and to watch some sport, but the place was full of kids, even one riding round on a scooter. The bar didn't have gin glasses either. Most places kick out kids at 7 but there were still kids coming in with parents after 6:30.
If you are looking for a family friendly pub this is the place for you. They even let kids play on the darts board and pool table so they will be entertained although there is no wifi.

Stopped off for a drink and decided to eat once in there, we was not disappointed, large portions and good home cooked food, the mussels were to die for, will definitely have a drive out again to visit
