For the love of WHS, please take a moment to go outside and notice how uninviting your shop is.
Middle of the day and the place looks closed due to the place looking like it's in total darkness. Get some brighter lights, and get some creative minds to work on your windows.
I am writing this in the hope that you might see an increase in traffic because I had to take a couple of looks to see if you are open or not. I just thought it was waiting to get boarded up.

The store is so badly lit it should not be open - 90% of the ceiling grid lights are out and have been for several months.
The situation is so bad that lighting has had to be installed on magazine racks so you can actually see!
It is quite astonishing that from a facilities management standpoint it is deemed fit to open not to mention the obvious factors for disabled customers , visual impairments, neurodiverse conditions and staff wellbeing.

What a dim and dingy place WH Smith has become. The ground floor is mired in gloom and the retail assistants don't seem to trouble to work upstairs. Downstairs I was informed that the lights there don't work and haven't worked for some time. My particular assistant quite liked this as 'it's not bright like the other shops'. A sadly depressing experience.

Cant even give it a 2 star , bought a pencil case and the worker at the till didnt put it in , i also bought a three pack of pens it was £13

A really nice stationary shop with a great selection of stationary at a really reasonable price. This store also has a really good and extensive book store which often has books I've struggled to find at other shops.

Same as any WHS. Wish here would have more manga though, very tiny collection, although sometimes has rare finds.

Shambles! I dropped in to get a parcel box just after the shop opened. Dim lights, one of the entrance doors and the escalator were out of order, and the box size I wanted were out of stock. Shocking customer service despite the shop being as quiet as a mouse. The two staff upstairs gave curt, one sentence answers and got back to their chat. This justifies my reason to walk out, with a very low likelihood of returning. There are better options elsewhere!
