“Went for dinner with friends. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is imaginative and well presented and all agreed that it was a good meal all round. It turned out that it was a quiz night: who knew? Had fun doing that, but we didn’t win, but hey, no big deal. We will return to try other menu offerings. All things considered it was a fun evening. What more can you ask for?”

“I absolutely love this shop. Its spacious, disabled friendly, dog friendly, its open Sundays and I must say probably one if the lowest prices out of all the charity shops in the town. Also the staff are very accommodating. I needed a certain item of which they didn't have on the shop floor so they looked in their back room for me and found exactly what I needed. I've recently been informed that this Sense charity shop won an award and is on display within the shop. Ask to see it though because I couldn't find it. I will most certainly be returning.”
“Saw a review that said this was the best charity shop in Leeds, and I absolutely agree. Fantastic shop with great items and lovely staff. Can't wait to visit again!”
“I got a topshop jacket like new from here for £4.99! Great prices & a wide variety considering it isn't a huge shop. Both of the 2 other people with me brought clothes items too.Plus I found two books by popular authors to get for my brother (Stephen King & Lee Childs!)Great little charity shop!!!(kids, adults, clothes, shoes, bedding, books, household items, vynal records, etc)Plus it has a changing room which is always a bonus in a charity shop! ??”

“Love this shop! The staff are fabulous friendly and helpful and the furniture turns round quickly so every visit is different. The only downside is its not always easy to reach things you want to look at, as there's a lot of furniture and it's only an average sized shop.”

“We have purchased various items from Emmaus over the years & always impressed at what they have available, & the good quality of the stock. They also deliver large items, within Leeds, for only £10. This may have increased, but that's what we last paid. Everyone working there is always friendly & helpful. They are a brilliant organisation doing great work.”

“A decent charity shop for decant people. Decant clothes and accessories for women and men in charity price. It is worth donating the excess clothes here for environment and for the respect of the hard work of the clothes designers and makers. Besides, it can helps the charity of cancer research.?The men clothes are at the end corner of the shop, and it is about two to three columns, not many, but, surprisingly, they are in good quality since men are loyal to wearing the same clothes until the status of whole unrepairable pieces , rather than selling to charity shop. The price are reasonable to the quality and brands.Besides, I found some very cool pins and badges at the cashier counter. If you are a cool person looking for cool things and come across there, take a look. You are recommended to visit here among the ocean of fashion shops nearby because actually it is not enough time visiting every shops around in just the afternoon.?”

“Well well well, Cross Gates. It seems as though we are going to have to make friends, no? What with your array of charity shop delights along one small street! Yep, and the British Heart Foundation is another of many which pleased me so greatly on my premier trip to Cross Gates of Leeds. The store itself was nicely tidy and easy to browse, with the exception of some of the clothes near the window. All the size 8s were packed virtually behind their window display and behind where the door needed to open so that was a bit tricksy for me to get in there! Nevertheless, as a hardened charity shopper I was determined to browse, and browse I did! One of the main featured bargains seemed to be their many luggage holders, suitcases and the like, all on display at cheaper (by a few pounds at least) than Priceless Shoes just nearby. So cheap, it seems, that one was snapped up even as I browsed! They had the standard gemstone jewellery on display too - something unique to BHF as I've seen a few with this, which is lovely too. They've all kinds of different gemstone necklaces and other bits in rose quartz, amethyst and more! Their other main feature seemed to be a pretty substantial shoe display, again potentially to compete with Priceless Shoes, and there was certainly a good range on show! Other cool oddments, such as decent mirrors, books, wedding hats and so on, were available too. I went away really pleased having found myself a pure silk Jaeger long suit jacket - which is utterly gorgeous - for only £4.50. Bargains ahoy! Staff were totally lovely too. Bonus!”
“I got a load of jigsaws and a top, they were a real bargain and it helps a good cause. The staff were very friendly and helpful.I live the other side of Leeds but will definitely be visiting again.”

“There is something about charity shops that makes me feel good. I'm not sure whether it's the bargains, or the pleasure in seeing stuff being given a new life, it might be just that it enables me to feel good about myself..... BHF is one of my regular charities so i try to call in and have a browse rarely leaving without treasure, this branch always has a good selection and the staff seem very pleasant.”
