This was our second time coming - the first visit, food was lovely and our server was wonderful but this time round was our experience was the opposite. Portion sizes were shocking, the vegan breakfast comes with scrambled tofu but instead we had ?marinated tofu cubes? on our toast, I raised this to the server and she replied with ?yes that?s scrambled tofu?, I explained that it?s not but the above was repeated so I gave up. Food was flavourless and cold also. My father in laws scrambled egg was a fried egg chopped up. In reference to the previous review done my partner I can confirm that nobody came to check on us regarding our food and CCTV will show this. My son?s order was also wrong. Not one person out of 6 of us was happy with our food. Most servers were unpleasant and looked like they hated their jobs.

We were served by one person and not once did we ?joke? or ?laugh? with that staff member. Payment was taken before we ate - meaning we had not received our food so it would?ve been impossible to leave feedback prior to eating. On the menu, the tofu is described as scrambled tofu, we ALL received marinated tofu cubes, this was raised but nothing was done about it. None of us received hummus with our breakfast. We didn?t bother to raise it AGAIN because we attempted to raise the tofu issue but nothing was done about it. Looking at other negative reviews it appears that you deny customers experiences and cannot take any negative feedback or criticism - maybe take this as a learning curve.

I visited with my mum for the first time last week and it?ll definitely be the last. Food was overpriced and not as described on the menu. Service was abysmal, staff were rude and unwelcoming. Avoid.

Visited last Saturday (09/08) for lunch and it was fantastic. Loved the Breakfast burrito, the herby tofu salad, and plenty of choice for drinks and sweet treats in the kiosk.
In contrast visited today for breakfast and the previously vibrant and flavourful food was no more. Breakfast was infact rather bland, hash browns greasy, vegan breakfast leaving more to be desired. Scrambled tofu was exactly the tofu from the salad and not something I could deem an 'egg replacement'. The price for what came on the plate was disappointing.
The service was also not in any way there either. On the previous visit, bubbly, engaging and warm staff. A stark contrast this time round with staff seemingly disappointed at our want to understand the tofu being used was not as expected and a comment of 'well that's just the way it is'.
Two very different visits and although busier and much harder working conditions the first visit was fantastic but the latter making me not want to return.
(Please respond to my email as I am happy to engage but as you choose to not represent the situation correctly in your replies it makes it difficult to want to return at all - the tofu was not scrambled and was the cubed tofu and there was spinach and mushrooms but no hummus or avocado as you stated in another reply. The sever didn't check on us after initially providing the food as you said happened. Very defensive and not seemingly open to criticism)

The roast dinners are delicious, definitely visit for one of them! The decor and atmosphere is nice inside however I wouldn?t opt for a take out coffee from here as it?s very average and very expensive!

We've been numerous times for coffee, breakfast, the supper club and on music night. The food is always great and the staff friendly and attentive. The fantastic surroundings and the lovely buzz about the place are z credit to Rob and his team.

Although the Three Cottages at Meanwood is in a beautiful location, and is actually quite unique, I left disappointed. There was a large display board outside asking people to wait there until seated. I waited?until a lady and a child walked right by me and just sat down inside. The nice thing is that you can take your dog inside if on a leash, which I did. I had a coffee Americano that was rather bitter, and a piece of Mars Bar Slice. Also quite delicious but at about £4.50 a slice quite expensive. I asked the server if I could pay straight away as service was quite slow, she almost insisted that I pay it after. I did not want to waste further time after trying to catch her attention. I was given the apple box to tap my card on, but had to ask the server for my total bill.
I also helped myself to a glass that was stacked next to a water dispenser on the bar. The glasses were dusty and when held to the light looked dirty.
It would have been nice if the tray baked/cakes/slices had been labeled. I chose the wrong one from the menu, as I assumed one cake was another.
I was happy to see water available for the dogs outside with paper cups. The owners didn?t seem too bothered about my feedback.

Five stars isn?t enough!
The team at Three Cottages in Meanwood are absolutely brilliant. Every visit is met with a warm welcome and genuine friendliness from the staff. Special thanks to Rob, Parker, Holly, Libby, and Daniella you make the place feel like home. It?s one of the happiest, most inviting spots around, and that?s exactly why we keep coming back every single day. Highly recommend!

Went for a lovely lunch out in the outside gras area. We tried the Harrissa flatbread, soup, cheese toastie and battered fish sandwich. All of it was great! And of course every cake we tried was also amazing, great selection, several options for vegans or dairy free people.

We had a fantastic meal at three cottages ? the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. From starters to dessert for my birthday meal, everything was full of flavor and beautifully presented.
However, the only downside was the online booking deposit system. I had to request a refund for the deposit on the day of our visit, which was a bit inconvenient. Unfortunately, this meant I had to manually refund all 25 guests in my party after receiving the refund myself. It was a bit of a hassle, and I?d recommend they look into improving how that system is managed.
That said, the experience overall was excellent, and I?d definitely come back ? just hoping for a smoother process next time!

Held a private function in the newly extended room and it was perfect for the size of the group (25). Rob the owner was really helpful in setting the room up just as we wanted it, nothing was too much trouble and the catering was fantastic and accommodated some of the group who wanted gluten free food. Wheelchair accessible.

This place has just started serving food on a Friday and Saturday evening. We went on Saturday and there was live music until 8pm. Music was a little loud for talking in the restaurant. Menu was tapas style sharing plates and burgers. Food was very good but it wouldn't take long to exhaust all the choices. Could do with daily specials. Lovely atmosphere on a summer evening and perfect for a walk in the park afterwards.
