I?ve never encountered staff as rude and entitled as at this Tesco Express and it happens consistently. I work locally in the legal field, always busy, and my only goal at lunchtime is to grab my food and leave. Yet every time, I?m met with unnecessary attitude for absolutely no reason. I never leave reviews, but people need to know about this experience. It?s unacceptable.

A decent range of goods for a small place, usually quick in and out, and the staff are friendly. Loses a star as not all the auto tills will scan the mini Tesco Clubcard's QR code.

All tesco expresses seem to be very security heavy right now
From the wait to get in to the store whilst a staff member (or is it facial recognition?) verify who you are before allowing you in. Through to the security staff in all stores who always seem to be there (often whilst no store members are).
But this Tesco express is something else. It is an unbelievablely uncomfortable experience being watched by security from the moment you come in to the moment you leave.
I?m stood there trying to decide whether I want Kale or Spinach - and searching to see if any has been reduced. Immediately I am seemingly under suspicion from a security guard. He follows me around watching every movement I make. As someone who?s very introverted having someone gawk at me is extremely uncomfortable. It?s like my brain cannot focus on anything else because I know I?m I?m being closely monitored.
I begin to nervously laugh havinng been followed about making lots of mistakes. I start to look suspcious because you're gonna look suspect if you're stared at for a prologned amount of time.
I say to the secuirty guard "Don't worry I'm not gonna steal anything!"
He says "Do I go to your workplace and tell you how to work?!"
I say "No but..."
Security guard: "Then don't tell me how to do my job!"
I say "But it's just awakrd having someone stare at you for 5 miniutes. I've never had security stare THIS MUCH."
The security guard says "I stare at everyone! Don't tell me how to do my job. I don't tell you how to do yours!."
At this point I just buy the few items I came in for realising it is best to pick up the rest from a different store.
Literally will never come back to this Tesco Express again. The level of surveliance is unreal. Made to feel like a thief. Will go to other stores where I can browse the shelfs without being made to feel so uncomfortable.

Need to wait for security to open door for you, make u feel like criminal so I just left. Worst customer service for tesco in Leeds.

So good. This place had so much to offer and the shelves are fully stocked. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was cool to see what foods were available in a convenient store. It just seems like the food was fresher and more healthy than the options in America. It's basically a nice grocery store. I think we bought travel butt wipes here.

Very handy tescos with a lot of meal deal choice. Can get busy around lunch time but plenty of checkouts so not too long of a wait
