As a relatively new customer, I have been three times for different issues with my glasses. Each time I have received advice relevant to me and my circumstances. Honest and open about costs. Clear about the technical aspects of my glasses.I have used two big chains before, of which one was very good, but just not as able to be responsive to what I needed as Spectacular. Go local and stick with them when you receive such excellent service as I have.Very easy and helpful to deal with owners. I will DEFINITELY use Spectacular from now on.

A great local friendly opticians.A very professional/honest service with no hard sell.I have a high prescription and was very impressed by the low cost of the thinnest lenses (compared to what I?d been paying at some High Street opticians). The glasses arrived promptly and fitted perfectly after some minor adjustments.I?ve had 3 pairs made and and will getting a fourth shortly as they?re a lot more affordable than previous?Thanks guys and keep up the good work!

Just had 2 new sets of lenses made for some of my favorite glasses one a pair of sunglasses. Very efficient and friendly service.I would recommend they also have new frames at reasonable prices. If you like your glasses give it a try.

After having recently undergone cataract eye surgery on both eyes I required a complete change of prescription as I now needed glasses only for reading and not for distance. The high street chain of opticians which conducted my eye test recommended new frames and lenses and quoted me a price for two complete pairs of spectacles. I did however have two frames from my distance vision glasses one of which felt very comfortable to wear and the other which I had very rarely worn as the lenses were tinted so they were virtually brand new! I enquired at the opticians whether or not it would be possible to remove the old lenses and refit my existing frames with the reading lenses. The dispenser at the opticians advised me that they were reluctant to do this as there was a possibility that the frames would break when the existing lenses were being removed!Whilst researching on line for Dispensing opticians in the Leeds area I came across Spectacular Eyewear. I therefore visited the premises and was welcomed by Rachael. I informed her of my requirements and she advised me that provided that I had my prescription there should be no problem in fitting new lenses to my frames. I therefore gave her the prescription and the frames. She informed me that one of the frames did not appear to fit correctly and she therefore made adjustments to the frame so that it was a much better fit! She then popped out the original old lenses in a matter of seconds and then measured my eyes so that the new lenses would be correctly set in to the frames.In less than a week I received a text message from Rachael confirming that my glasses were ready for collection. I tried both pairs to ensure that I could read properly with them and that they were comfortable to wear. Both were perfect!On both of my visits I was greatly impressed by the level of customer service shown. Rachael was extremely pleasant, respectful and professional on both visits and I would have no hesitation in using the services of Spectacular Eyewear on future occasions!

Fantastic locally run familt opticians.Rachael and Dave have been nothing short of helpful and I, (being new to the glasses club) have been extremely helpful and nothing has been an issue, I was also able to bring some frames to be fitted with varifocals, which wasn't as much as I expected it to cost.Many thanks.

I had an eye test with Boots, their glasses were expensive so I took the route of ordering online, not a great idea as it turned out, I wasn't totally happy but I think it was down to the pupil distance measurement, I had to measure myself, again not great.This I now accepted to be a false economy.My daughter spotted Spectacular Eyewear and pointed me in their direction.I was passing and called in, right from the start I felt really welcome, Rachael and Dave are the business owners and they are a husband and wife team. Rachael just listened to what I was saying, I told her about the Boots eye test and that I opted for the online purchase, part of that was explaining the varifocal lenses and why they didn't feel like my previous pair.Rachael was very honest, very professional and very engaging, she asked me if I needed varifocal, they offer office lenses that suit my needs better, I was impressed with that as Boots assumed I should have them because my previous pair had them, I simply didn't need them, she also opened my eyes (no pun intended) to frames that I would previously avoid, I was stuck in my ways I guess but the experience was so comfortable I tried the options, finally settling on a bold, plastic and colourful look, they were perfect. Spectacular Eyewear don't test eyes but they are very serious about correct measurements, very meticulous, which was reassuring pleasing.Also, I have blepharitis, both Dave and Rachael asked me about it and gave me some great advice about how to stay on top of it, things I didn't know, I will now follow their advice.They are very much interested in not only helping you to get the right glasses, or the right advice, but also your eye health, no optician has ever asked me before, definitely customer focused.I would not only recommend these guys, I would actually have to insist you try them first.I don't work for them, never met them until today, but they are very genuine people.

I went to Rachael after having an eye test done with a sun issue.I really struggle with the sun both driving and riding my motorbike but sunglasses are no good as they are too dark when passing under the tress or tunnels.Rachael got me some prescription varifocals complete with yellow tint and had them made to fit my Oakley frames.Now only need the one pair whilst out and they're a game changer.Thank you Rachael and I wouldn't go to anyone else.
