Most of the staff at Specsavers in Kirkstall were very smiley & welcoming. I did get confused with how many tests with different people I saw. I'd have loved to have mentioned one particular staff member, but I saw so many staff members, I can't remember her name.
It was great to be able to go in the store without an appointment & get seen within a couple of minutes.
I mentioned to various staff that I'd like Varilite lenses, nobody advised me that they wouldn't work behind a windscreen, if I'd have known this, I'd have ordered a pair of glasses & a pair of sunglasses.
During my visit I mentioned my dry eyes diagnosis, during one of the eye tests, some dye was used into my eyes, I didn't know for hours, but the dye left big red stains around my eyes. Before leaving the shop, I'd have liked it if someone told me I looked like I'd been attacked by an overenthusiastic makeup artist. I'd been to several shops before getting home when I eventually saw my eyes. It's a good job I saw the funny side of looking like a clown for half of the day! ??
Thanks to the several friendly, informative staff & no thanks to the two not so cheerful staff - Not everyone can be happy all of the time, but you could have made me feel welcome & explained what I'm doing, where I'm going & why!
To anyone unsure if you're allowed in with your dog, I asked when picking my glasses up, I was told they don't just allow dogs, they encourage them in. That was a fantastic change to hear! ??

I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for Nick's exceptional service during our recent visit. He went out of his way to help my daughter and ease my concerns about her prescription. His compassion and understanding really made a difference, especially during the busy holiday period. Despite the staff being swamped, he ensured he called me back regarding my query, and booked me another appointment which I truly appreciated. Thank you, Nick, for your outstanding support, it?s rare to still receive this kind of customer service!
