I wanted to send the parcel via yodel, the cashier said that their printer was not working. I started explaining to him that I had a digital label, and he started telling me that I needed to go print it out and then only accept my parcel. This is the first time I've seen this!!!

Went to this garage at 5:30 am on a Sunday morning to fill up my car on the way to work. Unfortunately upon trying to pay for my fuel the transaction was repeatedly declined despite there being adequate funds in my account to cover the transaction. I also tried to withdraw cash at the on-site cash machine to pay for the fuel, the cash machine withdrawal also declined my card. I realised at this point that the bank must have flagged a recent transaction as potentially fraudulent and put a block on my card. Unfortunately at 5:30 am the banks help line was closed so there was no way to get the block removed. I offered to pay by bank transfer via my mobile app but the garage owner said he did not have online banking.Initially the store owner wanted me to leave my mobile phone as a security against the fuel, but I explained that I needed my phone for work in order to book on for my shift and to ensure that my security control room could contact me. They then allowed me to keep my phone but took my name and phone number, and checked my driving license to make sure the details I had given them were legitimate. I explained the situation, told the store owner I would phone my bank from work to get the block lifted, and then return on my way home at 7:45 pm, and pay for the fuel. I even showed the cashier my online banking statement to prove that my account had adequate funds to cover the transaction in order to alleviate any worries he may have had.I then received a phone call from the store owner at around 4pm in the middle of my shift asking me what time I was coming to pay, and telling me to "make sure I did come".After getting the block lifted from my debit card I returned as promised on my way home at 7:30pm and paid the owed amount in full. I apologised for any inconvenience caused, at which point the cashier complained that I had caused a lot of paperwork. I explained that I would not have filled up my tank had I known that my card had been blocked, and the cashier responded by stating that I must have known, basically insinuating that I had attempted to perpetuate a criminal act.Whilst I appreciate that this transaction was far from textbook, to be treated in this manner even after I had made good on my promise is simply unacceptable.
