This is regarding the new store in Headingley.I have had to leave my review on here because Google are still blocking me from leaving reviews on the actual Headingley store.I tried the new Headingley store on it's opening 4.11.23, in Headingley. I found the staff to be very helpful. I treated myself to a few of the many bargains on offer, however I found some, but not all, of the items for sale upstairs in the clothing department were not clearly marked up with a price, if at all, e.g. rucksacks, some coats and various other items.The door of the elevator from the ground to first floor needs looking at, it tried to crush me before I'd gotten out of the lift and it also trapped my foot to the floor, which hurt! You might think someone would have checked that before opening the store for its first time in Headingley.However, the manager agreed with me that the door was dangerous and said he'd get someone to look at it.Overall though, my experience was good. I'll shop there again and I hope they do well!

A sales assistant, an old lady called Heather, actively racially profiled me and my family when we went to the self checkout to pay. We're of South Asian origin. Immediately, she tried to redirect us towards the till even though we'd already begun scanning things on the self checkout, so my mother politely refused her and thanked Heather for "offering" her help. Heather then phones security on the headset and alerted them of us and started listing everything we'd scanned and how many items we'd bagged and stated how frustrated she is in front of us, as if we can't understand?I asked her directly if she was being racist, by assuming we don't speak English and talking bad about us in front of us. She immediately stops speaking to security and turns her headset off, and then proceeds to ignore us. She then went out of her way to help other customers and actively avoided eye contact with me. We visited on 28th September 2023, at around 6pm.
