Used to be a very good doctors.Unfortunately the service has gone down hill rapidly.The left hand does not have a clue what the right hand is doing.

Excellent GP practice. Typically very busy (what GPs aren't?) yet still has a family GP feel to the place. Docs always interested, never dismissive. Nurses and HCAs are great and very experienced. Reception are usually rushed off their feet yet still kind and extremely helpful. Really efficiently run.

I was registered here for a few years and I'm very glad to now be registered elsewhere. The registered doctor I saw here seemed to lack compassion and did not listen. I found her condescending and she sometimes made very inconsiderate comments to me. I felt she had no desire to get to the bottom of my health problem and I was made to feel I was wasting her time sometimes. My appointments felt rushed, sometimes in and out within less than 2 minutes. Also had a few issues with phone appointment times, not being called at the right time. Locum doctors seemed to care more than the permanent doctor here. Now registered at Chandos which is thankfully a totally different experience.

I?ve been with this surgery for a few years now and they are very unprofessional the way they come across. I start thinking to myself ?are these people even qualified??.

Disrespectful reception..it says on their website that new patients can register online by sending an email with the required documents. However, after sending all the documents and forms they asked for in the website. They say I need to come to the practice personally with the forms printed and the required documents. I went to the practice with the required documents and collected the registration forms but reception told me and my wife to fill the forms outside the practice saying that seats are only for existing patients despite that most of the seats were available and only 3 patients were waiting and around 7 more seats were available. This is an absolute joke and disrespectful. It is clearly obvious that reception is disgustingly trying to avoid registering new patients specifically (I'm assuming) because we are Muslims and my wife wear a head cover.

April 23 More great service - I ran out of my prescription (my fault) while away. The surgery arranged for a new prescription to be signed off and sent to a surgery in the south of England which I was able to pick up. No problem getting through on the phone despite it being a busy Monday morning.Previous comment - Every so often there are criticisms of GPs in the National Press; GPs are currently (Sept 2021) being criticised in the Daily Mail etc. I have been a patient of this practice for many years and have invariably had any issues dealt with quickly and courteously; sometimes it has been the GP, on others a Receptionist or Practice Nurse. It is easy to get an appointment at a time that suits me and I have always felt that whoever has seen me has given me the time that I needed and dealt with me in a very professional and caring manner. I suspect that there are some practices and some individuals for whom the criticisms are justified but this practice is not one of them. If you are lucky enough to live in Oakwood I would recommend this practice very highly

Myself and family are registered here, have nothing but positive things to say, they've looked after us and our children really well. Can normally speak to a GP same day if urgent. Non urgent appointments can take a bit longer but never too long. Find the app and use of tech makes things easy to book and review. Scripts normally done same day to a convenient pharmacy. All in all very happy

We used Oakwood surgery while we lived in Leeds for 5 years, and both my partner and myself had disappointing/embarrassing consultations. I won't go into details here, but both of us felt demeaned during examinations on separate occasions. I personally found their GPs condescending and especially dismissive in tone. GPs these days are tasked simply with putting the patient off for as long as they can get away with. I understand they are under excessive pressure due to continuing ideological cuts to budgets by consecutive conservative governments, but these guys seem to have lost the essence of healthcare - compassion.

Brilliant GP. Easy to get an appointment, particularly if you're happy with a call back. Lovely doctors who work a huge number of hours to support patients. Reception is efficient and easy to contact.

A very caring and organised surgery. The doctors are supportive and caring. The staff are very polite and helpful . It must be hard during these times and I am very grateful to them. I have felt very poorly and the doctors have persisted with pain medication until it was manageable. Thankyou all.
