Played today 23/3/24 now I know we have had some bad weather but the course was awful, more like a cow field than a golf course, very heavy and wet under foot and the greens were in a shocking state, every shot was a plugged ball and if u was lucky enough to find it the second shot was same, for me and the rest of the guys that played the course should have been closed now I get it that it's all about revenue but people who play need to enjoy the game for the money they fork out,and this was far from it hope on our next visit things are back up to scratch.

Fabulous golf course. Having 27 holes is brilliant, as there is always a tee time available. The Ladies section are so friendly and welcoming and there is always someone happy to play with you! Great club, wonderful ladies.

4.5 stars. This a proper big boys/girls course. Needs distance, height and control to score well, without a full range of shots theres going to be some high scores. Overall condition fair to good, Bkackmoor greens were poor but Lakes excellent.

Had a good day here on Seniors Day. 27 hole course. Big thank you to Saul in the pro shop for his help and patience with explaining the card and where we get our shots. A bit confusing because there are three 9 holes courses with 1-9 strokes on each 9. The course was in excellent condition. I was very happy with my game but struggled on the difficult greens. (Used to flater slower greens ?) we played the lakes course which is hole 1 to 18. The weather was amazing but very hot ??. Great day and looking forward to playing here again.

Fabulous setting and lovely course. Just bring your walking feet and an electric trolley is a bonus- it's hilly!

Looking forward to playing this course for years.We had travelled from Liverpool as a society hoping to play a top course yesterday 7 may and hoped this was going to be the best of 3 courses in the areaSadly it was not in its best condition caused by weather which is a norm for the UK. Disappointed really as course looks amazing.Members very friendly and welcomingWhich a big positive.Spoke to club manager mark and he apologised for condition and immediately offered to remedy the situation.Really looking forward to returning here in the near future.And well-done for addressing something out of their control. Top customer service. Thankyou

Just played moor allerton today. Heavy rain overnight left the course sodden in places. The greens hadnt been dried and were wet ( disappointing)and had worm casts on some. Had to give putts a good wack. It is very picturesque and has some great holes with lots of water hazards. The course played really long. Will love to return in the summer.

Visited yesterday with a society. The bottom line is that the course should not have been open with many of the fairways being in an extremely wet and muddy condition- it surely cannot have been good for the course to have golfers paddling up the turf.Add to this that we had booked coffee and a sausage sandwich but no-one had informed the caterers and these had to be hurriedly put together. Plus, no-one had apparently told the bar staff that we'd be having a drink after our game- luckily one of them did stay back and serve us.I have played Moor Allerton in the summer and it is a great course with some fantastic holes. Yesterday was not a good advert for it.!
