Great hotel, lovely bar and restaurant. Perfect location for anything in the city centre, walking distance to the main Leeds train station and also two car parks across the street. You get a discount if you park in the Q Park one, discount code on the hotel website. Great location for anything Leeds. Good clean modern rooms and friendly staff ??

Hotel room was a good size, nice and clean. Didn't look tired. Breakfast was very nice in the morning, big thumbs up.Only issue was that due to the location it was really noisy at night. The staff did say that the other end of the hotel is much quieter if you actually want to sleep ????? probably good if you didn't go on a Friday or Saturday.

Words can't describe how well looked after I felt and how safe I felt. Nothing too big or too small for reception staff. There might be a little wait and not always someone at the desk but I can't fault them.They don't seem to assume regarding calling anyone sir or madam, they seem to have actually had training regarding this. A staff member referred to me as she/her (I identify as non-binary and my pronouns are they them their, my title is Mx) but I respect that in this day and age we are still brought up that way, I politely corrected her and she was genuinely apologetic about it I assured her it was OK. No offence was taken. :-)There is a little wait for room service such as food but they always remember and the attitude and manners are amazing, they do their best to have a bit of chit chat. They were great interacting with my pooch. And the bed they provided, I want it! And the little doggy bag gifts and treats made me emotional because it was so thoughtful! And generous!The standard double I had at first the temperature controls I think froze but they kindly helped me move rooms where they worked helping me carry my belongings.I can't thank everyone enough for being so kind with me, polite, friendly, helpful, caring and welcoming. Top quality service.There's the occasional weird loud sound from the staff lift on 3rd floor but it rarely happens. Annoying in the morning if sensitive to noise and the air con flow has problems.Rooms: Comfortable, relatively quiet and great qualitySafety: Even though there isn't always one person at the desk, I felt safe and secureFood & drinks: You can end up paying over the odds for a bottle of something but I had a toastie and it was yummy and tasty, good flavours although maybe an extra slice of ham to balance thingsNoteworthy details: Great at listening, honest, very helpful, above and beyond

Sadly not up to the usual standard! Check-in was great. Super friendly staff and a free upgrade to a larger room. Thank you. Communal areas are nice but the hallways and rooms feel dated and in need of a modern refit. Bathroom not spotless. Looked like there had been a leak above the shower and mould visible over the bath. Double bed was two singles pushed together. Not comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing too. The lads serving were doing their best, but they needed help. Order took ages and then, when it arrived, it was stone cold. Decaf coffee (I can?t have caffeine) was definitely not decaf. I left, heart racing, never to return.

Had to come in for a last minute booking due to my plans and I was dealt with very politely by Kieron who was in reception and made the whole process really easy for us and the quality of the room and hotel is top, will be staying again and highly recommend.

A beautiful building. Rooms have the most gorgeous views over the canal. A great location for the city centre but the interior decor is so dark! Everything is corporate dark grey and black. I associate Malmaison with bright quirky decor. Malmaison Leeds is Corporate gloom. We don?t all go to hotels for team building exercises and conferences and even if we do why is everything soo gloomy and dark? Please lighten up, bring some joy back into the bedrooms , restaurant and communal spaces.

Was a very nice place to stay with some nice food but the service was extremely slow from the check-in desk to food. A few of their dishes were inconsistently cooked (the same order going from rare to medium) or just tasted bland. Overall I can't say the price was worth it, worth considering other places to host your event.Rooms: Very nice rooms, very airy with a tall sealing and good amenities.Food & drinks: Very slow food service with inconsistent quality on foodNoteworthy details: Poor organisation and planning with little venue space. Only good for small events

I was pleasantly surprised when staying here at Malmaison a while ago. Firstly there's a lot of reviews stating how it needs a bit of a refresh and in some areas this is true. However besides that everything else is top notch. The rooms have everything you need, aren't just regular box rooms, very comfy beds. A nice change from other hotels is the water temperature and more importantly water pressure is unbelievable. Never have I stayed anywhere with a better shower than here!The lobby and surrounding areas are well kept, albeit a little dated.Staff did seem to take a while to get you checked in and then was confused when checking out as they give you a free room upgrade (great!) But then tell you that you owe them money for the upgrade at the end (not great!). But after some messing about this all got resolved.Overall a great stay in a great location.

Hotel is a bit dated. Heating controls didn?t work. Despite one of our party using a mobility aid, no one offered any help or explanation about how to get to the lift. Had to carry it up the stairs. Had to ask for things twice needed for the room. Lots of loud drunk people in the bar. Breakfast service was very poor. Restaurant manager was rude and grumpy. She said she couldn?t seat us even though we?d booked and then ignored us. Two people?s breakfast?s were missing with no explanation. Once we asked about them she went to the kitchen and didn?t update us. Had to find her to be told that they were coming in the next batch. Eventually turned up 15 minutes after the rest of us had finished. Scrambled eggs don?t take that long. No explanation or apology. Won?t be going back there.
