Take the good with the bad,was supposed to have the MOT at the Hunslet,got there 8am to be advised,fella had phoned in sick,the other was on holiday.Zane the young managers day can't have begun well either.He handled it well but seemed nervous .Maybe I'm scarier than I look.He managed to get me one at the Meadow Lane branch later that day.After speaking to the manager there sorry name not taken.Found out he had squeezed me jn,so grateful as need the car for work tomorrow. He took it in his stride,and gave me a half price MOT to boot for the inconvenience.Well after this epic long winded review it scraped through.So can put the £25 saved towards new rear brakes and tyres.Thanks Halfords for your great service.

I bought an item from this branch as it wasn?t available and wasn?t available in my closest one so I was willing to drive for it notice I had a missed call so I found them back, which I ended up with someone else which said they probably haven?t got the item available so today was for me to arrange For them to order it Which I can order it from Amazon for next day for cheaper was just I needed it today They are advertising an item for collection the same day and then don?t want to refund you for 3 to 4 days that?s too lazy to go online and just change it to all the only which isn?t good for the customer as I was willing to close my own business just to go collect the item if I didn?t phone back, I wouldn?t even know the item wasn?t available

Second time I?ve come here to buy a bicycle for my son. First visit was around December 2023 and second visit was on 11/07/2025. On both occasions I was served by Pat. Fantastic lady who is very knowledgeable and super friendly. Any questions I had Pat was on hand to help. On the second occasion Pat was able to build the bicycle in time for my son?s birthday. So I was eternally grateful her help and super fast service. Also there was a man there too at the till (sorry I can?t remember your name) and he processed everything too. Overall, very quick, knowledgeable and smooth service. Will be back again when my son grows out of his bike again.

Booked an e-bike check only to be told on arrival they only service e-bikes they?ve sold themselves. No mention of this during booking. A simple one-line note on the site would?ve saved me the trip ? but apparently that?s too much to ask. Staff were unapologetic and dismissive. Won?t be going back.

I didn?t get the lady?s name that fitted my dash cam, however she was amazing from start to finish! She?s very helpful and ensures all customers know exactly what?s going on. Amazing customer service

Went in for my bike as I had an issue with gear changes. I was directed to Meg who was quite confident in diagnosing the issues informing me I needed a gear & brake shifter replacement (£60 part & labour).
I then went in the following day where the bike technician was available. He told me that no replacement was required & just to use some release spray which I did & it worked. So it was contradicting & if this feedback could be passed onto Meg for future diagnostics to maybe check in with the technician before quoting customers.

Appalling customer service from the lady in the bikes department!! Walked in with my 7 year old son whose birthday it is today, while browsing the bikes department my son who is not familiar with how gears work changed the gear on a display bike to which the staff member proceeds to shout at him instead of approaching us to ask if we needed any assistance. Im not a person who is argumentative so I left the store and we went to the Kirkstal branch where the staff were polite and helpful in assisting my son in choosing a bike which we purchased. Im really disappointed In the staff member at the Meadow Lane branch which is closer to where I live for the way she spoke to my son who was quite upset at being shouted at for not good reason and this is unacceptable to speak like that to a customer especially someone who is a paying customer. The owner might want to send their staff to the Kirkstall branch so they can watch and learn from the staff on how to interact with customers respectfully.

My son was interested in a bike at £400 on Thursday, I went in to buy it Monday as a surprise for his birthday it had gone up to £600 said it was on offer ?I get that? but wasn?t advised when interested that offere end quickly so put a deposit on to avoid disappointment.
My son chose another bike was told it would be ready 2pm Wednesday no communication receive to say it wasn?t ready, my son turned up after walking there ready to it pick up was told another day?.. despite all this Meg the manager was very amenable, very professional, admitted the error and made sure my sons bike was ready before the time she initiated? she has brilliant customer service skills and deals with customers to the point A** thank you Meg at hunslet store for making it happen - hope this reaches feedback reaches her as not all staff was as flexible at the time
