Recently on the hunt for a new cafe as a tradesman.
This cafe holds a traditiona british nostalgia that I highly respect. By far the thing I love most.
The staff are very nice, a mix of all ages and true force of fierce warrior women. Also a highly respected asset to a British cafe which I admire.
The food is nice, I wouldn't call it a greesy spoon, as the food comes out well presented, well portioned and better quality than most.
However there are some cons. The biggest of which is the price. It is extortionate. You will have to folk out. Which I can only assume is because the ground rent for the premise will be also extortionate.
They have got my order wrong a few times, however due to the staff being very pleasant. I do not consider it as being a major issue. As they are always quick to rectify.
Outside of the price, the small tweaks to improve rhe rating is to increase the nostalgia feel by having the old school salt n pepper shakers on table, aswell as the old school ketchup/brown sauce bottle on hand.
I've eaten here many times and would love to increase my rating. But I dont feel I can do that until the price is adapted and the minor tweaks.

absolutely wonderful food Donna knows my order off by heart belly buster no black pudding extra sausage and scrambled egg and it never fails to fill me up. I've even got a trough for it all. The food is always fresh and made exactly how you like it.thank you see you soon x

Had lunch yesterday in this little gem . We all chose the homemade quiche which was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly .

Set against the backdrop of closed down retail units and a rather tired shopping mall, I can't comment too much on food ect, not been in for a bit, bit given the future of that shopping centre don't look too great if I was owner I'd be thinking of relocation

I can highly recommend this cafe the food is delicious and the Lattes are one of the best I've ever had. The place is spotless which matters to me and I found the staff to be very pleasant. I will certainly be returning and tell my friends to try this lovely place

My preferred place for coffee in crossgates. A lot better than Costa. The latte's are great. I've always found the staff very friendly and helpful every time I visit here, very clean place inside and out. The staff always make sure the tables are cleaned and cleared regularly. The prices are fair but definitely worth it. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. You get served fairly fast.Parking: Entrance to the carpark opposite the cafe.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly

Discovered this lovely cafe as I was shopping. The food was really nice coffee was the best I've had . There wad a wide selection to choose from. I had the jacket potato with chilli . The staff was all very friendly and the cafe was spotless. I will certainly be going again and can highly recommend

The food is ok but the woman behind the counter has zero customer relations, I asked her if they had any sweeteners for our drinks ... Her reply was "They're out somewhere" and then she walked off !!
