This place has gone downhill so fast in the last 10 years I used to be a companion at this branch and went today to have a browse. Staff were rude prices were highest I've ever seen I mean £250 for a second hand beaten down chest of draws and a wardrobe is disgraceful in this cost of living crisis .

We have purchased various items from Emmaus over the years & always impressed at what they have available, & the good quality of the stock. They also deliver large items, within Leeds, for only £10. This may have increased, but that's what we last paid. Everyone working there is always friendly & helpful. They are a brilliant organisation doing great work.

Organised a house clearance following a bereavement. Chris was very pleasant and professional. He was also able to accommodate the change in sale completion dates. The team who came to remove the furniture were really nice, helpful and efficient. Would recommend.

This is supposed to be a non-profit organisation but Facebook marketplace has more charity than this place it should say all-profit organisation

Don't waste your time. I recommend other furniture collection charities that will do the bare minimum of turning up when they say they will.Had a real job organising collection thanks to the online system going down. Managed to book in the collection on phone for a date just before I left the country. Since it was so late a date I asked them if the collection date was definite and they said yes.Roll around to collection date and the driver apparently drove up and down the street multiple times before leaving me a voice mail that he couldn't park and wanted to reschedule the collection, as a dismantled wardrobe was more "difficult". I rang him immediately after, 20-30 times, but he didn't answer. He eventually did call back and I let him know there was a parking spot for maintenance workers. He came up for a new reason for not collecting; that it was raining and that would ruin the wardrobe. This is almost incredible as an excuse, because either one of us could have checked the weather before the day, and besides which the maintenance parking spot was **right next** to the entrance to the building. I'm talking less than five foot if he'd backed the van right up to the door way.Evidently the real reason was that he was bone-idle.

Very disappointed ? Thought Emmaus is a nice and decent charity show. Recently I wanted to donate them super king size bed with matress(only 6 months used) and already informed them by phone, they asked only there is a fire sticker and yes it was there. When Emmaus guys came to collect it they refused to collect it due to iron mark peeled off just rear side of the matress. Damn!!! Then I donated shoes and other cloths. Bed and matress worth of £200. As we aware many items in Emmaus used and you may see scratch marks in some items. So why our bed then? Finally they said return it to Leeds council waste 2 hrs from my weekend ?

Today Saturday the 4/3/23 I was in the store on St Mary's Street Leeds I saw a white or cream recliner chair with out a price on it. I asked a members of staff and he told me it was £30 after a bit of a discussion I said ok thats was fine. I left the store for 30 mins and came back to pay for the chair now the price was £70. I told another staff member about the discussed price and he said its £70 take it or leave it. Emmaus is no longer a charity shop as the are only interested in getting as high a price as they can well some of the staff that work on the shop floor. Buyers be aware of items with out prices on them they say one thing then change there minds about it.

I had a good experience in this store. The staff are good and ready to help you. There are wide range of sofas, beds, chairs and other household items here. It is not very cheap but they are very well maintained. They also do deliveries for £10.
