I went to the store on Monday and told the Assistant I am on my feet all day and I was in a lot of pain she pointed at some shoes and said that is what nurses and people on there feet always wear.
I looked at the shoes they were not very appealing so I looked at other shoes I liked some trainers I asked the assistant what she thought of them she said there really comfortable she wears them so I took her advice and brought them.
I wore them to work the next day they are so uncomfortable the pain is excruciating I could barely walk by the end of the day I thought Clark?s was a family brand I did explain that I needed a wide fit she said they were fine I was not measured or anything.
They cost £70 with a spray that she said will keep the trainers in good condition this is my worst purchase my feet are worse then before so going elsewhere to buy my shoes.
Don?t buy shoes from Clark?s the worst place ever the service is even worse they just want you to buy and get you out the door staff are rude never again.

Totally shocked that someone in customer service was so rude today. She didn't measure my daughters feet as she said I needed to pick a shoe first. When I did, she said there are no large sizes in that style. I mentioned that we bought a plain brogue in September but the seam inside was irritating her. She said they hadn't had a plain brogue for over a year . I still have the receipt! I lost patience and told her not to bother.
We left the shop and will not be returning to clarks whiterose where all 4 of our family bought our shoes there. Someone needs more training in customer service. RUDE!

Went to get my son some shoes. Annoyingly was told had to pick shoes first before they would measure his feet. This would be all well and good but every time I have had to do this the shoes I pick are not in stock and end up with a completely different pair. I would rather they measured first and then see what they have in that size rather than have to pick something would like to then not be able to have it.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I experienced today at your branch. Upon visiting the store to purchase shoes for my 2-year-old daughter, I requested assistance in measuring her feet. To my shock, the staff member we interacted with was incredibly rude and dismissive, instructing us to select shoes first, rather than offering the basic assistance we had asked for.
The unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour we encountered was unacceptable and left us feeling highly uncomfortable. Consequently, we made the decision to leave the store and take our business elsewhere.
After reading other customer reviews, it appears that this kind of treatment is a recurring issue at this location. This speaks to a broader problem with the store?s standards, which are far from what I expect from your brand. I strongly believe that the head office should be made aware of the situation and take immediate action to address the lack of customer service at this branch.
I will not be returning to this location and will instead seek out alternatives where customer service is valued. I hope you take this feedback seriously and make improvements where necessary.

Called in here today to get my 2 year old Granddaughters feet measured..
I was told I needed to choose a pair of shoes to purchase before I could have her feet measured.
How am I supposed to know if her feet have grown enough to need a new pair of shoes?
We have bought from here in the past but wont be returning in the future..
I wonder how many potential sales are lost due to staff attitude.

Terrible service!! Just left the shop now.
3 shop assistants. One busy with a customer and the other 2 ladies are doing nothing!! I ask for help and one of them tells me to go and take a number and a ticket and claimed to be serving someone else while the third one standing there and enjoying her time!!!

I went to the store to ask for exchange and help about my daughter's school shoes which got scuffed within 3 days of starting school because had been told by another branch they can help exchange. One of the staff called the manager who practically rolled her eyes, was so flippant and rude not bothered more or less told me its not their problem and fault and I should just buy another pair. (After spending £51 on a pair of shoes!!!!) i have come across bad customer service but this one is shocking. Even if she could have at least made effort to listen and still not replace them, but i left the shop so disappointed and annoyed and i certainly wont be returning. I may be one customer in a pool of thousands and not matter to the shop/brand but if you are going to be representing a brand then do it well and not treat customers so badly.
I went to Schuh and i wish i had bought shoes from there from the start. The guys in the shop were so helpful, took time to measure and offer options and they even have a return policy for a year!!
For such a reputable brand..this is greatly disappointing

Went today to get my little one some shoes ... had one of the members of staff roll her eyes at me as I mentioned last time they didn't measure her properly and had to return the shoes.
Rude staff. Have shopped here for 4 years. Done with clarks now. Staff always say different sizes so unsure what kind of training they get but for the young girl to roll her eyes at me bang out of order. The girl with dark curly hair.
All appear to be young staff other than 2 members that are actually helpful. Rest all measure wrong. Clarks you have gone downhill and hiring people who don't like their job or have patience for kids. ?

Really poor customer service in White Rose store. Was interested in two pair of shoes, but they only had one of them in stock. The woman lied to us saying the other shoes only come in wide fit, so she can sell what they had in store. I found them online and ordered them. Will never visit this store again. Very disappointing.

Visited recently and had terrible service from the ?manager? Amanda. Was snapped at as soon as we entered the store that I need to choose what shoes I want to purchase and the wait for fitting will take ?atleast 15mins? we were the only customers in the store apart from the one child who was being measured at the time. She was stood around doing nothing at the time. We said we had seen some shoes online that I may purchase, but she was very rude and patronising, saying it was a ?measuring and purchasing package? I?ve bought all my sons shoes at clarks, how would i even know if he needed new shoes, before he gets measured?? We ended up walking out, as I won?t be spoken to like that. She obviously needs some refresher courses on providing adequate customer service. Not suprised this is the only store left in Leeds if clarks employ people like this. No issues with any of the staff i have dealt with in the store before.Have started shopping at schuh for all his shoes now, much better service.

What a shame about this store. They could learn some lessons from their colleagues at the Broadway branch in Bradford who were fantastic. Unfortunately we had a very poor experience with the Clarks White Rose branch.
We visited to have our toddlers feet measures for the first time. We wanted to check if she needed new shoes, and also to get an idea of what size she?d need in a few weeks time. We were planning to return in a few weeks to purchase her first pair of proper shoes.
We were told however that they could not measure my toddlers feet unless we were making a purchase on the day. Family and friends who have had children years ago had all recommended Clarks for this specific service. It was disappointing that they were unable to do the foot measurement just because we wanted to wait a few weeks to buy.
We found the staff to be rude and rushing us along. They told us and 3 other families, that there would be a long wait despite the empty store, and this caused people to rush and grab the shoes they wanted to try. Poor store management which put us off. Not a relaxing environment and so we left.
I?ll be sticking to their Broadway Bradford branch.

Wow, what an unpleasant manager. Went in to have my child's feet measured and was barked at on attempting to take a queueing ticket that I need to pick shoes to buy first or I cannot have the measuring service. This makes no sense, as I do not know whether my child needs new shoes yet until measured. Surprised at the hostility and the microaggression of the interaction. Very unwelcoming, highly unexpected and frankly very poor customer service. Expected far higher quality of service from Clarks.
Worth noting this once busy shop was empty in the child section. Wonder why...
