This place is an absolute stinker. Overpriced food & drinks. Looks like you're on a building site with toilets to match. I could go on but just avoid it and if you want to experience something like this done properly, head to Hatch in Manchester.

Rubbish sound system. Cost a fortune for very little. Food dire. Nothing gluten free available. Drinks START at £5.Went on company do, wouldnt go here otherwise

Had a good time at Chow down for my birthday in June. Leaving a two star rating as they have charged £40 out my bank account for not attending even though they were very aware I arrived on the specified time and date. I have tried emailing/ WhatsApp but no luck. Can someone resolve this or am I just going to be ignored @ChowDown?

I was so disappointed with Chow Down. Went on the Tacos and Tequila weekend on the Sunday. All their frozen margaritas had run out on the Saturday, only one bartender making cocktails so took forvever and then run out, food stopped service around 4pm. Only giving it 2 stars because the fried chicken and music were good.

I've been a big fan of Chowdown in the past, enjoyed many visits with friends and family over the last few years.Me and my friend did a drop in on a Sunday. It was lovely and sunny, the place was really quiet.We got a drink quick enough, forgot you have to go to the bar now haha.I ordered some food around 3.15sh, my friend tried to order some food around 3.30 only to find all the food vendors had stopped surviving food.Super frustrating as we'd had no communication, no one had said anything to us, we had to find a staff member to know why the QR code stopped working!!It's such a shame to see the place like it is. There's so much potential, but experience's like this really put people off.

Not really worth the visit.Empty environment with no good food options. There was supposed to be 3 vendors on the day & 1 showed up. I was looking forward to try the tacos and the only options were chips & burgers. Drinks weren?t that great and were overpriced in my opinion (£11-13)Music was ok, seating is ok. Just not a place I?d return personally as it doesn?t match up with the instagram videos & pics posted.

Wouldn't go again sorry. We'd booked our table weeks ago and on arrival were put on a high table with stools which was not only really uncomfortable but it was right in front of the stage, it was a bit embarrassing really as people were going round us to take photos of the band. No idea why you would put anyone here. Couldn't hear each other at all as it was so loud right by the band (obviously )and loads of other tables free. Went to get drinks and people took our table and our cutlery so had to go separately after that to keep our spot. Food was ok, we had vegan and it was tasty but really expensive for what we got and cold when it arrived. The main cocktail bar was a joke, 2 people on there but only 1 person making them, the queue was insane. Cocktails were really poor, I've had loads better. Also, where the glasses are stored, the shelves are just filthy (dust and cobwebs) and the guy wasn't washing his hands while stuffing bits of leaves into our drinks, really don't think this is hygienic. Went to the other little bar after and these cocktails were brilliant and service was much better. Had a great time with my mate but the place is massively overrated and there is absolutely no customer care of any kind. Really can't imagine people going back after a visit.

I went a few times when it first opened, then again recently in June 2023 and honestly it's really gone downhill.Used to be a great place for a drink and some good food and conversation on a warm day, now there was barely any selection of food what there was was overly greasy and expensive. The drinks were more than I'd pay in London!The house DJ was so loud that we had to shout to hear the person next to us, left after about 45 minutes very disappointed.Won't ever be going back

Good food and venue. Very quiet since last visit with less vendors and a loss of the atmosphere but hopefully it can be regained. Great spot out of the main body of Leeds.

It?s was ok. I?m going to guess her name was Mrs Trunchbowl. She had a radio, no smile and just generally grumpy power trip.Ps. Unless you book into the main bar, they are not showing the football. Unless you are happy to watch a silent tv. Also, it?s freezing. The tipi we booked was so incredibly cold. The food was good though and very much enjoyed that part. The staff, not generally as enjoyable.

Better in summer, food expensive and not lot of options. Asked the dj for a song his response was ? no , maybe the next dj does them?. It was literally just a table and dance floor, thought there was going to be more entertainment, for 22£ it?s poor
