Stayed last night hearing blowed cold air all night TV didn't work, hand towel that was provided smells disgusting and I wasn't even offered a new one. Seriously????

Well kept, very clean, great location, friendly staff, good value for money for both rooms and breakfast. I would definitely be going there again.

Pleasant courteous welcome and potentially comfortable room if there had been any chance of turning down the heating or opening the window. Given the space and beautiful Yorkshire countryside you would think that they could do better than a view of barbed wire and rusting containers. The sophisticated television was highly connected to nothing. If you like coffee, go somewhere else.

Good location as a stop off for a trip to the North.Good points:Rooms are an adequate size.Shower was goodRooms are basic but well appointed for a one night stay.Cleanliness is adequate but don't move any furniture as the cleaners obviously never do (we're not usually bedmover cleaning obsessed but the biggest spider ive ever seen ran under the bed)Dogs are welcomed.Bad points:Walls are paper thin.The A1 is on one side, we accepted there would be some noise.... but the other side of the hotel has a long straight road which is clearly used by the local boys club as a racing track.Other visitors 'make the most of the bar' and are noisy and inconsiderate. Not in essence the fault of the hotel BUT when we rang at midnight to ask if any efforts could be made to bring the noise down there was no answer.At no point was any attempt made to reduce noise levels.... and imagine our deep joy when the noisiest guests finally retired to their room....immediately next door and we were truly able to appreciate how thin the walls were.

Great location but lacked detail, couldn't open windows, poorly staffed, dead spider under pillow, lack of drinks & snacks in bar, no cooked breakfast next morning, disappointing as could be great hotel but lacked finishing touches needs updating
