I?ve always been a big fan of the food at Ambiente, but unfortunately my last visit was really disappointing. The calamares were impossible to eat ,oily and with a terrible taste. The spinach croquetas weren?t good either, though the salmon ones were okay, just not as tasty as they used to be.
On a positive note, most of the staff were really nice, but the blonde lady at the front of house was quite rude, which added to the negative experience.
It?s a real shame, because Ambiente used to be one of my favourite spots. Sadly, after this visit, I don?t think I?ll be returning.

Not your usual run of the mill tapas but unusual and inventive dishes with a huge vegetarian selection. We had a delicious meal, gorgeous wine and with great service.

We had a family meal for 6 and enjoyed everything about the experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. We ordered almost all the vegetarian dishes, and all were so good, especially the green beans, the Mediterranean board and the hispi cabbage. There was a lot of variety with the vegetarian offerings which was a pleasant change from many tapas restaurants.
Prices were very reasonable.
The size of the dishes was varied, but mostly plentiful.
The sangria jugs were fabulous!
And having a riverside table was much appreciated.
It's been a few years since I last visited Ambiente, but will be going back more regularly now.

The team at Ambiente welcomed us warmly and were attentive throughout our meal. We had tapas which was well presented, served quickly and was very flavoursome. The location, decor and ambience of the restaurant contributed to a great night.

Great dining experience overall, staff were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the food that they are currently offering that we ended up ordering all of their Specials for the evening.
Food overall was great but not as good as I expected as there were a few things that needs improving such as, the Octopus with the Black ink Risotto (part of the Specials) was almost perfect if the Octopus meat wasn?t too chewy, which meant it could?ve been overcooked than it needed it to be.
Thus, Ambiente is one of my favourite Tapas-style Restaurants to go to specially during Summertime as it provides the perfect ambience and atmosphere during this time of the year.
They also offer a wide range of Wine selection that truly goes well with the cuisine, as well as to match every guest?s preference.
Thank you Ambiente for providing us with such good service and made our evening truly memorable.

We enjoyed the food, but I?m very disappointed because me and my partner had upset stomach after having tapas and made me vomit the next day. We?re definitely not gonna return again. I would recommend to avoid this place.

Extremely good quality food with pretty decent prices given the portions are filling. Best to come with friends and share around 3 tapas per person. Location is great and back of restaurant has views of the dock. Staff are lovely. No complaints.
Now been here 3 times- can say this is the best restaurants in Leeds for quality vs price. If asked where to go anywhere in Leeds- this will be no.1 reco.

Great food and atmosphere, lots of space but they were very busy on a Saturday evening, meaning that the waitress probably will come around less frequently to your table but she was very lovely. We were chatting anyways so didn?t mind it that much.
Highly recommend the creamy mushroom, cooked very well, and the beef tapas dish. I find their tapas portion was bigger than usual, so good value for money.
They recommend 3-4 dishes per person but in fact we were happy with 2 each, depended on how hungry you are.

Called in impromptu to a favourite restaurant in Leeds, Ambiente Tapas. We were served by Iggy who sold us on two specials they had on that evening that were delicious. Thank you for a great way to relax with fabulous food, service and great white Rioja.
