Ahh, Holland and Barratt. Every time I see the Holland and Barratt store I think of the amusing and yet annoying advert of the two men and their silly health offer related conversation. I suppose that's testament to a good advert, isn't it? That it sticks in your mind, for better or worse! Still, these guys are certainly the leading brand in health goods. That's pretty obvious. They sell virtually anything related to the 'health goods' banner. For any budding buff beefcake there are the many many whey (way!) products to help you along with your muscle build up. Often they have great deals on these and I usually spot simply huge cans of the stuff in store, so bulk buying appears to be an option! For those ladies of a mature age they sell all kinds of awesome natural herb extracts and oils for many of the symptoms of menopause - from St. John's wort to combat depression, to cod liver oil to help loosen joints. There are a number of different supplements and natural aids to help sooth a number of those ailments. Since H&B is a bit of a big brand nowadays, I've found that in spite of their many offers, their items are just that little bit more pricey. Their staff are required to know a good deal about their products, so they certainly make up for that deficit in terms of helpful advice. Although, I haven't yet had cause to test the knowledge of the Ilkley staff so I couldn't hands down vouch for their ability to give advice! All in all, a fairly extensive and all encompassing health store, though not perhaps as deal-icious as a more indie shop might be.
