Very clean and tidy for our arrival (Serviced by Emily).
Highly recommend this place and wouldn't hesitate to book again if we are in the area.

It was a great base for our 2 nights in Ilkley. Prime location, lovely rooms and staff, and a marvellous breakfast to set you into the day. I had the smallest fry up breakfast which was quite sturdy. Go for a larger one at your own risk. ?

Tony was a wonderful host for our society meal! Reserved seats for a party of 20 and they helped us organise to make sure there was enough Sunday Roast for everyone! The food was phenomenal, definitely recommend after a hike in the Ilkley Moors as a cosy, friendly pub with delicious food!

William Appleby served me with upmost respect and if I do say so myself wisdom. The beauty of his beard was triumph only by his determination to deliver exemplary service. My grandson shall be name based purely on his excellence.
When I lay on my death bed my only advice will be? attend the black hat in Ilkley, Yorkshire, U.K. for you shall be honoured by his pure sensation.

We booked the barn space at the Black Hat for my partner's 30th birthday on Sunday afternoon and were absolutely delighted with every aspect of the afternoon. We wanted a low stakes event where friends and family could drop in throughout the afternoon and order whatever they wanted - other places were charging us a large minimum spend which is not what we wanted! The barn space was perfect for between twenty to thirty of us, ordering food and drink was easy on the app, television screens for the football and a bluetooth speaker for own music. Food was great - majority of us had a roast dinner but main menu on too and staff couldn't be more helpful bringing extra roasties and Yorkshire puddings! Manager in particularly incredibly friendly and welcoming - would 100% recommend for anyone wanting a similar event and would do it again.

Just been for a late lunch with my family of 4 and had a lovely time. Food was good and nice selection on the menu to suit everyone. T service and atmosphere were brilliant. Wasn?t too posh for taking a toddler which some of the cafes in Ilkley seem to be. Would recommend this pub to friends and family.
