The rooms are basic and beds not most comfortable but all in all its good value due to the on site facilities. Especially the restaurant and bar, the food there is superb!!!Food & drinks: The food is superb and highly recommended. If like country walks there's plenty around and this a great base to get food and drink afterwards

Came across The Venue Bar and Restaurant whilst staying in the serviced apartments on the same area for work appointments. Was served delicious food at a good price. Good Quality. Staff were amazingly friendly. It was quiet when I was in there and the place looks like it has just been completely revamped inside. There is a massive dance floor with lighting etc, a cinema area and outside there is a mini golf area. I also saw a pool table, table tennis table. It was spotlessly clean throughout. The outside seating area was immaculate with "pods" where people can have an intimate meal under cover. Definitely will be back, for both the rooms which were excellent value for money and the restaurant seems to be one of Huddersfield's best kept secrets!

To be honest I didn't have chance to taste the food and after getting there the actual venue looked lovely and the staff that I met were very friendly, it looked like the sort of place that would be great for wedding receptions e.c.t or an afternoon tea , they actually let me take a copy of the menu and it looked delicious , so I'll definitely be paying it another visit to taste something from the menu and hopefully the weather won't hinder me the next time ! But as I said on first impressions it was well laid out and friendly.

If you just want the cheapest, then this place is fine. But it's in the middle of nowhere, not very comfortable and too noisy at night.

1st time visiting here - Absolutely amazing, Hidden Gem!! ?.The food was great and enjoyed by all.New personal favourite Peanut butter chicken curry - I didn't expect it to so good, but it was faultless in presentation and taste.New favourite place to go with or with out the kids....

Great venue for weddings and any celebration. Numerous accommodation offers. Excellent food and drinks are available in a number of different bars and restaurants.

Great place and even better staff. Attended a hen do here and the "venue" was ideal. Had a room to ourselves to decorate and play games, plenty of space. The food (grazing boards) were excellent and really tasty. Also, had a room upstairs where we did cocktail and flower crown making. The staff were extremely accomodating and helpful. There is a bar downstairs which had a good choice of drinks and very affordable. Heated pods outside too. Really great place for a hen party.

We had our wedding here at The Venue at the end of this summer. Olivia and her team went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly and exactly how we wanted it to. We would 100% recommend the Venue in the future. Thank you once again!

I recently had my baby shower at The Venue and the whole day was just absolutely amazing. Better than I ever could have hoped. Before the day we had a meeting to discuss our preferences and several emails back and forth to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day (thank you Amber!) nothing was too much trouble. All the staff on the day were absolutely lovely and couldn?t have been more helpful. The food was amazing! We opted for afternoon tea, served on beautiful picnic benches and a grazing board. Including sandwiches of our choice, cakes and scones. The grazing board table was also a lovely touch that people could pick at throughout the day. All of the guests commented how beautiful the room was and I would highly recommend the venue to everybody for their next event!

Well, what a surprise this place was. I had a voucher bought for my birthday by a relative (who also bought a voucher), otherwise I?d never have thought of coming here. None of us (4 people) had been here to eat before, but we were really pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere and the varied menu ? I could have chosen anything (because I liked everything) and enjoyed it.The decor isn?t cosy and romantic, but if you want a good night out with very reasonably priced food and drinks, The Venue is a good place to go. Try it !!

Attended a wedding and the food and service and staff was excellent. Stayed over for breakfast and this was exceptional as well. Cannot fault anything.

Attended a wedding and reception at the venue. The whole day was magical. Set in lovely grounds with plenty of rooms and things to do. Broke the day to night part of the wedding up. We ended up playing crazy golf, table tennis, pool. Bbq sat outside, chilling in heated pods later on to have a rest from the dance floor. Food was excellent. We stayed over as well in the student accommodation block then finished off with a breakfast in the morning for the wedding party that stayed over. Everything was excellent. We'll recommended.

Attended for a wedding over a full weekend and was fantastic, great venue, great staff, great set up. Food was amazing, games room and cinema for the kids. The apartments were great and got to enjoy an amazing weekend celebrating.
