Went into Huddersfield yesterday to pay money in, can't pay in at post office because I might be a drug dealer and not a hard working business man, only to find the branch is closed for refurbishment, no warning or anything I can find to say it is closed or when it will open

Shoddy, huge branch, and long slow tedious queues, only one window serving.
In my last three visits I have come across very ill informed staff. I asked about my World Credit card and fees if used abroad and was told 3% - actually it?s free.
Next we took our marriage certificate in to change my name on my account, as we married in Italy we were advised we needed a translation, so after queuing we were turned away. Interesting Lloyds Bank for my other bank anccount immediately changed my name as said marriage certificate had a translation. Surely literacy it is a pre-requisite of recruitment process, and I certainly wasn?t impressed at having to queue up again and waste more time just to complete what really must be a frequently performed task.
Next I asked about eligibility of Balance transfer cards, stating my only credit card is with Santander. During application process I was asked about other credit cards and confirmed my only credit card is with Santander. 50 mins later having gone through entire application process, member of staff informed me I could not transfer a balance on an existing Santander card, to point of apologising that front of house staff are new and would not know. Well OK make excuses up for others, but don?t blame them for your lack of incompetence. TWICE during application process I said,
1. ?Transferring from a Santander Card.?
2. I answered question how many credit cards I had with direct answer ?only the ones with you?.
I have better things to do than waste my time on this level of complete inadequacy to point of total incompetence. Next time I have to queue in a bank it won?t be Santander as I?m moving all four accounts, I?m done with duff info and time wasters.

Well I think it?s fair to say technology sucks when cash machines don?t work or you need to put cash in on a weekend you can?t I had to travel to Huddersfield then Halifax Sunday night just to try put some cash in had to wait Monday morning then the machine lost £500 which this was put at ease by the assistant but I was not best pleased why is it so hard to put cash in or withdraw it when needed but I was looked after I know since cutting or closing banks the service is not has good has it used to be like everything else prices go up service goes down not anything to do with the ppl working in the branch there just stuck with what ever goes on by the powers above .

Firstly I would like to say Harriot is a credit to Santander. I went in after having a bad experience in the Wakefield branch with staff. I have FND and communication among other things is hard, Harriet was both patient and kind sorting the problems out also makingboth myself and husband feel better about the situation caused at the other branch. Thank-you so so much Harriot you could teach Wakefield branch alot

I visited the branch in Huddersfield today.I had a enquiry about a savings account and cash back on my 123 account, I was served by Richard and would like to give a positive feedback he was very helpful and even went and enquired about the information he gave me was correct about cash back which I really appreciated. Well done sir. Hopefully you will pas this feedback onto RIchard.
