This hotel is about to undergo some renovation and it really needs it. The bar/restaurant was chaotic with chairs and tables just stacked up all around the bar area, with just a few left to use. Will not be going there again.

Personally the beds in the Premier are not the best. Most Premier inns are getting tired and need updating. I try to use the Premier Plus when they are available.

Sadly this is pretty run down and the restaurant/pub is in need of repair?.

Without any doubt in my mind, the worst Premier inn I've stayed at.
For a chain that is supposed to be generic (which is good in my opinion for a cheap hotel) how this location has strayed so far from the usual formula is beyond me.
Whilst I forgive the fact it's in a old complex of buildings, there's no excuse for using space on them for rooms in wholly inappropriate locations (room 303) and not having any way of shutting out the passing traffic and pedestrians without plunging the room in to almost complete darkness, thanks to what must be the oldest energy saving bulbs still in use, meant room 8 wasn't any better.
Then there's the bar, which is open at 5 til 11 Monday to Friday, 6 for food. Saturdays 12 til 11, but not on a bank holiday. If it's a leap year then they close at 2 on Wednesdays .... I exaggerate, but I've never known one have opening hours like this.
This will definitely one to take off the list of places for a cheap nights stay while in the area.

Only thing lacking was more parking spaces at the hotel itself. There is a huge overflow park over the canal next to Sainsbury's but because there's no right turn at the lights, it's not straightforward driving to if the car park at the hotel is full.
Walkability: 5 minute walk from the town centre
Food and drinks: The people serving the breakfast were excellent. Friendly, happy and helpful.

The service is top notch cant beat it. Loved everything about this place. The best part of it was the service given by the employees. All of them were fantastic. They are going to go out of their way to make sure your stay comfortable. I really hope to come back. Location is perfect as well close to everything.

Nice friendly check-in, showed me where to go and how the security doors worked.
Lots of parking space.
Didn't try the restaurant due to early check-out, so can't pass comment.
I had the best nights sleep i had been needing for a long time... slept like a log.
Charging outlets next to the bed, had TV (never switched it on) and tea/coffee amenities.
I do prefer a walk in shower, but the bath/shower was no issue, the pressure was good and the water clean/hot.
I would stay here again if the price were to drop under 100.00 GBP.
Many thanks

Very quiet night. Clean rooms. Just a shame the pub wasn't open after driving there and needing the toilet and a drink. Had to walk to the local sainsburys, which is about 10 mins away for the toilet and no cafe.

The first room we had developed a problem with the toilet not flushing we were moved quickly to another room. This rooms bed has decided that my husband and I should be sleeping so much closer than we do at home and we have both ended in a roll together in the middle of the bed. The hotel is central of Huddersfield which is ideal for us as we are closer to our family and easy to get out of the town centre if we need to. The pub attached to hotel Bar seems very low on stock but signs say having a refurb but breakfast has been very filling and plenty of choice. All in all would stay again but not in room 309. ? The hotel is right next to a canal and has barges tied up all times.

The hotel itself is as you'd expect but the pub is subject to premier inn's cost cutting (greed boosting) cuts. Extremely limited menu and only bottled beers. As a long term customer I am Extremely disappointed with this decision and I will be staying elsewhere in future.

The hotel restaurant was completely closed and we weren't told before arrival. We were directed to Sainsbury's to use their cafe, but we found it had been shut for 2years!
No one serviced the room, so we had to deal with the waste bins, taking the rubbish downstairs ourselves.
Noteworthy details: Convenient for town centre
