I was scammed by a fake promotion on joggers. In the store, both t-shirts and joggers were clearly marked as on sale, but at the checkout, the staff refused to honor the promotion. I was forced to pay the full price, which was three times higher than the advertised price. Out of principle, I will never shop at this store again.

Last week, I visited Huddersfield Poundland and checked the Gumzy gummy sharks for halal certification. A sales assistant named Rob assured me they were halal, claiming his management had verified it. Trusting him, I bought them.
However, on May 16, 2024, another assistant informed me they were not halal. Confirming this myself, I felt shocked and betrayed. Rob had lied to me, violating my religious beliefs. When confronted, he callously remarked, "You're still here, aren't you?"
I am deeply traumatised and disgusted by this experience. I will never return to that store.
