I ordered a 4k dashcam for click and collect last week, got an email to say it was ready so I went to collect the following day.
When I got home I realised they had given me the wrong dashcam, the 2k version. Mistakes happen, I get that, so I went back the following day to find the retail store was closed due to some ongoing work with network rail, but somehow the MOT centre remained open, where a very rude little man was quite uninterested in helping me in anyway.
I went on Halfords live chat, explained my
situation and they assured me quote ?You can visit any of our nearby Halfords Store with the proof of purchase and the store people will be able to assist you there.?
So I drove to the Halifax store where two teenage staff members told me that they couldn?t do anything to help.
So I came back to Halfords Huddersfield today to swap my products for the correct one and bafflingly was told that my product wasn?t in stock in store, despite the fact that I had an email to say ?your order is ready to collect?. So how can my order be ready to collect if it?s not actually in the store?
The staff member was completely apathetic and useless, and conveniently the manager wasn?t available to speak to. He said he I would have to come back tomorrow to get my product which was supposedly ?ready to collect? last week.
So when I come back for it, it will be my 4th visit to this store. Combined with my pointless trip to Halifax, it will be a grand total of 5 store visits for ?click and collect? services.
I should?ve ordered for home delivery but naive ol? me thought that click and collect would be quicker and easier. How ironic.
Don?t bother shopping here, their staff and online live chat are almost as useless as their ordering stock system.

I paid to have new plates fitted. The following day one of the plates on the rear fell off! I returned to the store and they tried to refit it but didn't have the correct screws. It had previously been fitted by them using 3 strips pf double sided tape. They gave me some screws and I fitted it properly on returning home. I inspected the front plate and that was also loose so I removed it and refitted it correctly. So I actually paid £18 to fit the plates myself.

Well I eventually found a real person to talk to on complaints dept. They hadn?t read my review so had no idea why I was ringing. She promised to get the shop to ring me later that day but surprise, surprise 4 days later and nobody has rung! It really is a shambles, the communication systems are appalling! Can?t find where to ring now so hopefully they will read this and actually ring me!!!!

Served by Shahib. Great customer service, very friendly and good product knowledge on Dashcams and great service on hardwire fitting. This branch always provide a first class service.

Racist lady over counter , 8 jan 2024 12.20 pm huddersfield branch, dint reply properly and also i asked about castrol 5w30 offer of 1 ltr free with she reply she dont know anything about and try to make fool of me in infront of other customer really bad service by this branch now i will look for other suto parts supplier and also encourage other as well.

Arrived as booked my car in for a check - Alisha on reception was very rude. She was interjecting when another member of staff was talking to me and very arrogant - needless to say I did not leave my car as I will not be spoken to in this way. I think she needs training in customer relations

Very satisfied with the service. Bike was built even earlier than I requested. The gentleman on a till seemed knowledgeable and acted professional. Definitely a positive experience. Will visit again to get helmets for me and my son

Terrible Service several staff hanging around downstairs in motor section, nobody upstairs in cycle section. Several customers waiting, but ignored by staff until someone shouted for service. And then to add insult to injury the product given was not what was ordered online.

Just wanted to put in writing K in the Huddersfield branch was brilliant, very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and a true credit to the company. Honestly the worst customer service experience I've ever had at a Halfords. I took my daughter's bike in as the back brakes weren't working. The man who inspected it looked around it and said "did you build this yourself" - yes we did. And then went on to say "it's just built really badly" and told me all the things I had done wrong! I knew it wasn't right, that's why I took it in so they could help make it right, not just call me out for doing it wrong! Won't ever return to this Halfords again.

I was quoted for battery £246.79 and fitting £30 = £276.79 , after half an hour they called and said they would charge £105 for fitting as it?s a difficult fit. When came to pick the car they charged me £385.78.
When I asked why am I being charged for fitting twice he said he can charge more if I am not happy to pay this.

Incompetent service. Rude staff . Whoever owns halfords should look into these complaints stop taking people's money and giving poor service. So slow in getting the MOT done. Stop hanging around and get work done . Will not be using you lot again . 0 stars

The staff?s behavior was very disappointing. They tried to fix my car wiper without even putting it in service mode. The technician finished the job and left without checking whether it was working properly. This is the second time I?ve encountered such poor service at Halfords in Huddersfield.
