A few weeks ago we bought a TV, brought it home. It worked well, but we changed our minds, it was too small for our bedroom. 45 minutes later we came to return it and buy a bigger TV, but they didn't accept it. Although we explained everything, the staff said that before buying it we should have thought carefully, consulted with the seller. And the way we unpacked it, they can't accept it. We bought almost all our electrical appliances from Currys, we have lived in the UK for over 11 years, but this is the first time we have encountered this. The staff were really rude. This was our last purchase from this store. I have told all my friends that I do not recommend buying anything from you.
Thanks
Good bye Currys

Absolutely shocking service from Shaun. I ordered an item online and when I went to collect it I was told I needed photo ID, this was not disclosed in any of the email confirmations. I went back the next morning only to be told that the order was cancelled with zero explanation provided and Absolutely no support on what I am able to do to resolve my issue. I then called the helpline and was told the store cancelled my order.
There was a lady at the collection desk helping me first and then called her supervisor Shaun over, he has ZERO customer service skills and had no inclination to try and help resolve my issue.

After Two Product Failures in Under 2 Years, Currys Still Found a Way to Disappoint
I will never buy from Currys again.
I purchased a Hoover washing machine from them, which failed not once, but twice in under two years. The second fault rendered it completely beyond repair. Currys initially tried to fob me off with a £133 store voucher ? despite having sold me a product clearly not fit for purpose.
Only after weeks of chasing, escalating, and quoting the Consumer Rights Act 2015 did they finally agree to a £211.75 refund ? which, to be clear, wasn?t a goodwill gesture. It was a legal obligation they eventually acknowledged.
And even then, they refused to offer free delivery, installation, or collection to support a replacement purchase. At the time, I was willing to spend another £350 on a new machine from them ? but they couldn?t be bothered to lift a finger. So I bought from AO instead.
Currys had every chance to put this right ? and still chose not to. I?ve wasted time, money, and energy chasing a basic level of service. For that reason, they?ve lost me as a customer ? permanently.

Didn't try very hard to find what I wanted. But accidentally solved my problem.

Bought a Bosch dishwasher here. The machine turned out to be damaged inside the box ? likely dropped. Packaging was also scuffed, but staff wheeled it straight to my car, so I couldn?t inspect it properly.
Currys promised collection within 14 days. No one came. No one contacted me. After 3 weeks of silence, I got a dismissive email from Sarah Paget (Customer Resolution Specialist) telling me I need to return it myself.
So I did. Hauled a full-size dishwasher back to the store. Staff refused to process the return right away ? said they?d ?email someone and investigate.? Seriously?
Still no refund.
Zero communication.
Terrible customer service, and no respect for people?s time or effort.
Avoid if you don?t want to babysit your return for a month.

Needed a new TV urgently as other had stopped working, visited the store and Raj helped me show me the TV's within my budget and specifications. He advised me how each LG model differed from another. He was not pushy and let me and my wife take our time in selecting the tv that was the right one for us.

Bad service at this currys.. floor staff are very pushy for the sal, basically begging me to buy the tv so can hit their targets. Bought the tv could not return as the box was damaged slightly, they did that when carrying to the car. Do not buy from here, for whatever reason you need to return they will not return.

Quick service, disappointed that Blue Light Discount only counts if you buy a gift card....

I ordered an item online from Currys and chose to collect it in-store. I wanted to pay using a gift card, but the telesales agent advised me to pay with my credit card instead. They assured me that once I picked up the order, the store staff could refund the gift card amount back to my credit card.
When I arrived at the store and explained the situation, the staff told me to come back in three days as they couldn't do anything at that moment. It seemed odd, but they reassured me that it would be sorted.
Three days later, I returned, only for the manager to refuse the refund. He claimed the gift card is considered a discount, and since I used a price match, it couldn?t be applied. That explanation makes no sense?someone paid actual money for that gift card, so why am I not allowed to use it?
The staff were unhelpful, and worst of all, they gave me false hope instead of being honest upfront. Very disappointing experience.
This isn?t the first time I?ve had issues with Currys. I?ve had negative experiences before with returns and got no help at all. It?s a pattern of poor customer service that keeps repeating.
If you can use a different store.
