Attended today at around 5:05/5:15 Saturday 9th March 2024 and was met with an extremely rude woman behind the counter. (Asian lady, Aged roughly 45/65) Who had asked me and my friend for Identification whilst attempting to purchase Wine and flowers for Mother?s Day. Upon us both showing her ID and her giving it back just as she was about the approve the authorisation on the self checkout she called me back over for a seconds look at my Identification again (im 23) so not like there would be a possible discrepancy with my date of birth to which I had muttered ?for god sake? under my breath as I?m sure many will understand being ID?d is very infuriating much more when it happens twice for the same purchase just because she perhaps did not read properly. She then went on some form of attempted power trip and said that unless I apologise for ?swearing at her? she will not be authorising our purchase to which I of course am not going to apologise to a worker for mumbling something to myself even though I still complied with her request to see my ID again. Then 2 Boys came over to ask what the problem was and once explained they agreed with us but said they couldn?t authorise the purchase as it was up to her behind the till. So we said we will just shop elsewhere and as we were leaving she shouted ?stupid white boys?. This is extremely racist and should not be tolerated and I will be taking this up further with management as she does not deserve to keep her job after this appalling incident and I will further be referring people through social media/family and friends to stay away from this store until she is dealt with as not a single member of staff stepped in this racism is clearly accepted by the franchise but I?m sure if the tables were turned and we had spouted out such profanity there would be criminal proceedings for racially aggravated hate speech.

A few issues with the delivery service. Last time items I needed that night were missing, and they said they would be sent that night. I waited in all evening and they never turned up. This time it hasn't turned up at all and the store is now closed. Now I'm inconvenienced as I don't drive so have to try to find somewhere that's open on foot.

I popped in for specific items and got what I wanted. I was in and put very quickly. It is a bit pricey but worth it to get what you want.

Worst supermarket ever. Expensive and not safe. People walks on the wet floor and not signs around to aware people. Managers rubbish on holding complaints.

Absolutely appalling service from the manager that is currently on now 8.7.23 at 9:30pm and the staff with him.I had missing items from my delivery, when I phoned the first time the person on the phone said they would be sent out again. After 50 minutes, I ring back for a different person to tell me he will deal with it tomorrow, then to phone up coop shop when I asked why I needed to do that he said he would get the manager. The 'manager' came on the phone then pretended he couldn't hear me, when I rang back, the 'manager' picked up the phone and then hung up. He did this for the next 4 calls I made and nobody picked up.

Atmosphere always ok but now with Aldi opened, you can see footfall has dropped. Co op are not competitive enough and example I can give is the Warburton fruit loaf- they charge £2.40 for it!! The rest of Supermarkets are under £2 with Tesco at £1.85 and Sainsburys not far off. Morrisons at £2.05How does Co op justify their price??!! Shop and Save elsewhere ppl.

A good sized mini-supermarket with a wide range of products, good sandwiches which is generally what I pop in for. Has a carpark which is a reasonable size. The till queues are slow at times when everyone seems to be too busy to serve customers.

Been coming here for years but as other reviewers have commented, don?t bother trying to buy alcohol if you have your 15 year old daughter with you - they assume you?re buying it for them and want ID from everyone who is with you. Manager couldn?t even be bothered to come and speak to me!! 1 star is too much for this visit!Went to spend my money at Sainsburys instead!

Overpriced, limited selection. Tesco Express across the road is cheaper (example, Co-Op price for own brand basic Margherita Pizza was £4.20 when last in store, Tesco's own brand just over £3.60!!). They seem to like forever rearranging the store too making it almost impossible to find anything.

Dont try and buy alcohol if you are taking your kids with you. Im 42 and was refused service as I had my 15 year old daughter with me. Think more training is needed here.

It's a pleasant experience at this particular Co-Op. Staff are always brilliant. They can be assured of my continued custom and recommendation

Wanted to try use the Unilever zero waste refill station, but it?s been out of service the last three times I?ve been

Don?t bother trying to shop here if you have a teenager with you as they assume everyone is buying alcohol for their 16 year old on a Weds night !!! Oh and last time I noticed teenagers don?t drink Estrella or any other premium lager.Total little jobsworth that was rude and unreasonable.I would give NO STARS if it would let me.

No real faults. Nice fresh pastries and coffee available aswell as everyday essentials. In store also have a refill station for detergents which is a fantastic way of reducing plastic and all shops should have
