A great pub / restaurant with amazing views. Good outdoor space, loads of free parking and a campsite as well.
Real ale, great lagers and wine.
Menu looks very good with a large array of choice.
There is an ice cream bar with sooo many choices.

This was my second time eating here. Had a great experience first time, but didn't have the best time second time round. All 3 steak and ale pies for our party came to the table cold so we had to send them back. It was quite disappointing in comparison to our first time visiting unfortunately.

Never eaten here before, just previously had drinks only. Attractive pub with lovely views.
I had fish and chips, the chips being ok but the fish was either double or triple cooked! I started to eat it but left most of it. The fish itself was very dry and the batter was far too crisp and hard with a dark brown colour. I told the server who said she would mention it to the chef. I suggested she mention to the chef that serving food bordering on burnt is not good. Food safety standards state that Acrylamide (Food that is too well done) should not be served.
We have been many times but the poor food service will stop me returning.

Met for a meal with work friends on a Friday afternoon.
The pub is set in the countryside with stunning views. Inside is welcoming with character.
The food was lovely with generous portion sizes. We ordered a variety of meals, mostly sandwiches and one pate from the starter menu to have as a main course.
I had a prawn mayonnaise baguette with salad which was very tasty with plenty of filling.
Will definitely vote again.

Good menu, food was pretty good, had the chicken and ham pie, filling was lovely but just had a lid which was too thick to eat the edges.
Chips good, proper onion rings, cheesy garlic bread decent.
Good choice of desserts.
Cocktails fell flat unfortunately, not sure if they was but tasted premixed, poor taste and mango margarita a bit gritty...
Lovely building with choice of indoor and outdoor seating and good parking.

Marvellous find, Saturday evening meal & drinks. Excellent choice of beers/ciders, varied menu with generous portions. Lovely friendly staff with great service.

We nearly didn't go to the blacksmiths because I read some really bad reviews. The fact is the traffic was quite bad at the time so we decided to go here as it was easier. We are so glad we did. We sat in the sunshine for a drink then went inside and ordered food. The staff were lovely, the food was delicious. There were four of us and we all ordered something different. Not one of us had any complaints. The portions were huge so maybe could cut down a bit and make more profit is the only thing I'd say. Lovely place , food and staff so please don't be put off. Support your local businesses.
