Don't use this company carers aren't well trained enough for the clients they take on.When issues are raised to management they get brushed aside until serious incidents occur. Staff still told to come in when sick and when turning down a shift can loose most hours or any potential overtime. Most of the 5 star reviews are from people who work in the office.

I started working for Active 2 years ago now at what we now know to be the start of covid-19. I immediately found that Active are very supportive, kept me in a job when they really didn?t need to. I have had nothing but support during my 2 years here and the support and care given to clients and staff in my opinion is second to non. I?ve never worked for a company who is so flexible, supportive of work/ home life balance and who reward their staff for achievements. Nothing is too much trouble for my managers. In my experience, hard working and commitment is very much rewarded and opportunity for progression is amazing.

I needed to use 24/7 care staff for my mum with dementia. I knew it wouldn't be cheap, and it wasn't, but mum needed the care.A small team of excellent staff looked after her for 4 weeks. During that time I was impressed by their professionalism, their friendliness and their caring attitude towards my mum and towards visitors to mums home.I would not hesitate to recommend them to others in need of this service. Thank you

Where do I start. Had to use Active as a reintroduction into my childrens lives. The contact worker Margaret was fantastic as were all the team. Her reports we spot on. Straight to the point and always very professional. Never once judged me and always reassured me that if I needed to ask any questions at all that she was there. She supported myself and the children and we hardly noticed she was there. Didn't interfere or anything and was 110% professional throughout the service. The venue was perfect and offered everything I needed. The kids were never short of anything to do. Margaret is a credit and her professionalism throughout this has been outstanding. Thank you to all the team here who have assisted me throughout this difficult time. I would recommend this service to anyone. First class

Active have provided care to our daughter for over 5 years now, we are really pleased with the service they offer. Active try really hard to match staff to our daughters needs. It can be really tricky for a young person with anxiety to get to know new people but they always work hard to reassure her and think about how she might be feeling. Active have always been open to suggestions and work with the whole family to provide a great service.

Not good experience far from it. Carers on phone while walking with my son.One carer fell asleep.Another carer on phone to partner for 40 mins.When discussed with management it was brushed under the carpet using the phrase moving forward we can get you new carer.

As a person who has worked for active for many years whilst having a disability, I have to say, it has been life changing. The care and understanding that is shown towards myself and others that we provide care for is incredible. I know for certain that if the time ever came for me to need care myself, I would 100% choose Active, having seen first hand the training provided, I know that my care is in the safest hands and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else.The staff at Active are exceptional, they go above and beyond their duty of care and it shows by the amount of compliments they receive on a daily basis.
