the school are only bothered about what pupils achieve and the levels they get which make the school look better. They couldn't care less about what a student is going through, they only care that pupils should be doing extra revision yet the teachers hand out sheets and sit there expecting pupils to learn. the teachers are conceited, all round bad school.

Both my children attend/ed this school, I wouldn't have it any other way. Brilliant school and I'm proud my kids were and are part of it.

Meh. Could be better

The teachers and support staff provided ample support - academic and personal. It is 100% not the school's fault for anyone who didn't achieve the grades they wanted or didn't participate in the vast array of extra curricular activities/facilities offered.

Horsforth is a great school with a lot of great teachers. Anyone who was "forced" to take resits either didn't try hard enough the first time round, got unlucky in exams (which is no fault of the teachers or the school) or didn't care about going to a good University. To imply that students were "forced" to retake A-levels is the school's fault is absolutely ridiculous.

This is a great school which offers weekend facilities to the community including outdoor all weather pitches.

A school that cares more about keeping its ratings and pumping out A* grade students rather than making sure their pupils are happy and ready to actually go out and face the world. My years here were honestly the worst of my life with teachers turning a blind eye to bullying, setting unrealistic standards on pupils to keep up to and then ignoring them if they can't keep up with them favouring pupils that will make them look better in public. I'm glad the rating system for schools has finally changed revealing this moving it down to 14th best school in Leeds. I hope this fact will stop tricking people into thinking this is a good school like it did for me. I was lucky to make it out of there with a quality university (all off of my own back) but most of my friends have been forced to retake their Alevels or end up in low quality universities (note some of my friends were actually very gifted). Needless to say do not send your children here <3
