Very pleasant venue, in a stunning setting. The menu is basic, but perfectly acceptable. We spent a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon there, recommended.

Booked here few days after Valentine?s Day for dinner. Incredible views and love the window tables. The food was 5 stars. Absolutely delicious, fresh and flavourful. But the service was poor. The younger staff who waited on us didn?t seem knowledgeable or care. Like not knowing anything about the wines they produced. And just dumping the wine on the table with a loud thud. Not offering to open/pour the bottle. As well as no check in on our meal or how we are doing. Only came by to drop food off. Didn?t feel welcomed. Very scattered service too and lack of attention to detail. Also was not busy by any means, only 2-3 other tables. This place has potential to be great but service is not up to par.

Just had a lovely stay here at the Holmfirth Vineyard. The wine tour was very informative albeit in the middle of a storm lol! Nigel was great and we enjoyed learning about the wine produced here. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good and the accommodation was very nice. Quirky in fact !!

We were treated to an overnight stay with breakfast and wine tasting as a Christmas present. The location is stunning but having visited many vineyards in the world the vineyard was a bit ramshackle and didn?t look so well kept as we have seen.
The talk about the beginnings of the vineyard was interesting but basically it is a hospitality venue being supported by the wine tasting tours which cannot produce enough wine to sustain itself, the wine is brought from their other vineyard in Robin Hoods bay. On our tasting there was no red wine available.
We ate in their restaurant where their own wine isn?t on the menu - the food was surprisingly good though.
The apartments were very tired and dated, there were no toiletries except for handwash and the floors felt as though they were going to give way and go through to the floor below.
Outside the apartments was very untidy and needed an overhaul.
There was a lack of privacy and you could clearly see into every room, extra net curtains are needed for the bedroom windows.

My mom and I were booked in for dinner at about 7:30pm. My mother is not steady on her feet and was a little perturbed to find the walk from the carpark to the restaurant was down a steep driveway. There was a handrail, but some lighting would have good appreciated, particularly as the weather was typically British. Nevertheless, once inside we were greeted by a delightful young man and shown to our table.
I chose the venison, which was superb. Followed by the creme brulee, which was equally delicious.
The food was excellent, and the service was wonderful. The only downside was the lack of external lighting.

Visited here on Monday. It was a glorious day and just lovely sitting outside enjoying the view. However, I felt the wine a tad expensive, but it was delicious! I understand you can stay there but didn?t see where. A great spot to enjoy the views.

Had to wait weeks to get a good-weather day for our trip to Holmfirth. We had afternoon tea followed by wine tour and tasting & it was excellent. Lovely food & wine but the highlight of the day was the tour guide, Nigel. Funny and knowledgeable. We learned a lot. Beautiful setting high above Holmfirth & we look forward to returning.

Really interesting tour with Ash , who was entertaining and informative. Lovely setting with jaw dropping views. The whole team were lovely, and our accommodation was spacious and stylish. Only comment at all was the beds which would benefit with updating.

Nigel the tour guide/grape expert was brilliant, so funny and told us a lot of interesting facts about growing grapes in colder climes and the wine making process. The vineyard is in a beautiful area with stunning views. Make sure you wear appropriate footwear as it is a bit steep and can be wet and muddy. You get to sample a white, rosé and red wine and can also purchase them. On site restaurant which does food. The afternoon teas looked wonderful. Parking on site but get a taxi if you are going to drink! I would highly recommend.

Visited the vineyard for afternoon tea having bought a voucher from one of the travel apps. Good value and enjoyed the talk and walk, and the afternoon tea.
Decided to buy a bottle of red wine, Regent, which we had sampled during the wine talk. £19 seemed a lot for a bottle of 1923 vintage, but "supporting a local business" seemed a good enough excuse.
Opened the wine at a dinner party at our home with friends who used to live near the vineyard. They live in France now and wine is part of their life. First taste....... VINEGAR!!!
Fortunately nobody had swallowed, so all four of us spit back into the glass. The bottle full went down the sink. A very expensive bottle of vinegar.
Now I have been drinking wine for years, and had a 'maison secondaire' in Brittany for many years and appreciate it does happen. Not my first bottle of 'vinegar', probably not my last.
I emailed the vineyard and suggested they check their stock. I am still waiting for a reply.nShame really a response would have been nice!

Really lovely vineyard tour, luckily it was a fine day and we got to sit in the seating area within the vines, tour guide was very informative and funny, second half of tour was in the barn where we where told about the process from grape to wine followed by tasting, it was a bit crowded in there with only a couple of small couches which where grabbed by the younger generation. Wines are what you'd expect of English wines, the rose wine probably the best. We had lunch in the restaurant afterwards which was outstanding although the staff where attentive to start with it seemed to drop off when we wanted desserts seemingly more intent on setting up tables for next customers, we eventually went to the bar to order ! Would recommend tour but don't bother buying "adopt a vine" you don't get what you paid for and had no response to email sent ?

Went for Sunday lunch. Food was tepid and sparce so felt it was overpriced. Left the beef as did other customers we noticed. We sat in the wedding venue part which had a strange vibe empty feel to it. Felt on show while the room was being discussed to potential wedding couple. Service slow, had to ask for plates to be cleared, cutlery for desert , took ages to get our order for desert. When the bill came it was overcharged so had to get it revised. Windows to outside were dirty. Sadly disappointed and won?t return.
