Called in after driving past a couple of other places. Had southern fried chicken, which was delicious, it was moist and flavourful. The staff were friendly, when we went on it was quiet, but got very busy soon after. Will definitely be back.

Didn't actually get to go. It states it is wheelchair accessable. Unfortunately when I rang, to check on the situation with toilet facilities, I was informed it was upstairs. Sounded busy on phone and pictures and reviews look good. But I do challenge its listing as wheelchair friendly.

Delicious homemade food and really good value. The staff are always friendly. I always book the Hare and Hounds when relatives come to stay as the range of food on the menu is great and everyone can choose what they fancy!

En route to Shibden Hall, I had googled where we could eat nearby.
This place came up, and looked good.
It was a Sunday lunch time and I have to say, it was the best roast dinner I have ever had. I had slow cooked brisket of beef. Which was so tasty and tender.
My husband had a trio of meats. Which he said was equally as good.
Massive portions. Loads of veg. And proper real homemade gravy which was to die for. And plenty of it. And not forgetting the huge homemade Yorkshire pudding!
Also, the plates were cracking hot, which meant the meal stayed hot until we got through it all. (We waddled around Shibden after)
Staff were great, as was the service.
Sadly we dont live near enough to visit much. But Im still salavating at the thought of next time we can go.

Our 1st visit here but already planning another. Best Sunday lunch we've had in a long time. 3 of us had Sunday lunch, all meats so tender and plenty of everything else
. As someone who doesn't eat veg, i sometimes feel like i dont have enough,but walked out stuffed
My son had beef baguette and chips, he said it was beautiful especially the chips,which did look perfect . We arrived a little early for our booking time and had a bit of a wait for the food once we'd ordered ,but was well worth it ?

Had our first meal here, but it won't be our last, husband had burger and chips, I had fish and chips. The batter was deliciously crispy, the chips were to die for, massive portions too. Thoroughly enjoyed both our meals.

Absolutely disgusted, booked my mother?s birthday meal 4 weeks ago, came In For food two weeks ago, asked the landlord if he wanted a deposit, he said no, apparently rung me 3 times today to confirm, not 1 phone call, I even showed them my call list, we are regular customers, normally love the food and the service, but I?m so cross they have ruined my mums birthday. Fuming, extremely rude telling us to ?walk on? disgusting staff and behaviour!!! Landlord seemed drunk and off his face
