We had to wait an hour and a half for food and not told they were short staffed in the kitchen until an hour had passed. The server was obviously embarrassed and kept apologising whilst the management were conspicuous by their absence.

Had the crispy pork belly main dish at £18.95 and it was awful. It was way too salty, very dry and unappetising. I won?t be eating there again.

It is always hard to be honest in person when the staff are so lovely. The service here was genuinely excellent, and the atmosphere is cosy and well thought out. It is a really nicely laid out and decorated pub.
But the food just did not match the setting.
The highlight was the potato wedges, which were decent. I had the chicken shish. The chicken was fine, but the marinade lacked flavour, and the hard, shop-bought pita felt like an afterthought. They also laid a napkin under the wedges, which soaked through with the marinade, so I spent half the meal trying not to eat soggy napkin.
My partner had the fish pasta, which unfortunately did not work. The sauce was overly thick and heavy rather than light and creamy. She got full quickly and did not finish it, and I (who usually ends up finishing hers), did not want any more after a couple of bites.
Maybe we ordered the wrong things. I have seen good reviews for the pies and other things, so there may be better options.
I am only writing this in the hope that the team take it as constructive feedback. We genuinely want to come back and probably will for drinks. Hopefully the food can improve a bit, because if it does, this place could be really great.

A lovely little pub. We had fish and chips which was the best I have had in a very very long time. The proper home-cooked and chunky chips were superb. To top things off there was 2-for-1 on a Friday which meant the bill was very reasonable indeed.
Would happily go back and recommend.

Lovely local pub not far from where we live. Food is excellent and there's a good choice of beer and wine. Feels cozy and you can sit inside or out. Dog friendly as well,plus you can sit inside it outside with them.

Now the Butchers Arms is under new ownership the menu has been revolutionised. Great pub food, great service and great value.
We had the Sunday lunch and it was superb.

Visited 2 nights on the trot during our stay in Hepworth. Hannah & her staff were so lovely & the food was amazing.

Burnt fish and chips. Very badly presented. Steak very fatty and raw, also very badly presented.
Such a pity this used to be a fantastic venue, and I have had some very enjoyable meals here.

I went to the butchers arms free night of hepworth feast, I know that they were busy they had menus on the tables offering chips and snacks, I ordered there homemade pork scratching with apples sauce only to be told they had run out and gave me 3 packs instead and charged me £6 for it!! Not what I?d expect if they had run out!!

Nice little pub in a village setting, pet friendly, with seating inside and outside. We sat out the back in a decked yard, and it was very nice. They have a few local ales, plus all the regular drinks you might expect. Friendly staff. We only went for drinks.

Called in yesterday afternoon , the food was excellent, the steak was beautifully cooked and the dessert I have never tasted a trifle so wonderful before thank you kindly.
