Went here for a meal this evening. They clearly had been mega busy due to mother's day, yet we still had amazing food and amazing service. We didn't get the waitress' name but she was young, dark curly hair and glasses. She was fantastic and very accommodating. We were a little disappointed that the full menu wasn't available, but understood they had been very busy and it was actually great to see a place doing so well in such a tough time for people and business. Thanks to all the staff on duty this evening, we had a great time and hope the managers recognise how hard you had clearly worked today. And thank you for the mother's day gift

Can't fault this place at all. The place itself is really nice, with a great atmosphere. It's clean and well presented. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is great and very reasonably priced. They even have spooky live-in guests. Well worth a visit, we will definitely be back.

Had a lovely lunch, the staff are very friendly, food was really good pub grub but with a bit more refined. Will definitely go back. Read the previous review about being cold and food not good and nearly cancelled, glad we didn't, would of missed out in this lovely place.

Dire food, service and atmosphere; building absolutely freezing (radiators weren?t on and we could see our breath whilst sat at the table), service was extremely slow despite only five covers in the entire restaurant (it took almost an hour for mains to arrive and 15 minutes after ordering to be told that nut roast wasn?t available). Our food arrived cold with soggy Yorkshire puddings and had to be sent back to be reheated and was then returned with meat and roast potatoes partially removed. We were then overcharged in error for the food that wasn?t available.Noteworthy details: Disappointing Sunday lunch

We had a lovely meal here today, my husband and I are both vegan, we often struggle to find good option. The Old Silent offers the most options for vegans we have come cross, including specials. The vegan sausage and mash was absolutely delicious. For dessert we had a vegan apple pie with ice cream which was to die for. The man who looked after us was extremely pleasant and polite. The pub is warm and inviting with gorgeous views, a lovely half hour walk from Haworth. We will be back.

I had the pleasure of staying here for two nights after Christmas. The location is fantastic for those who want to explore the countryside & Bronte Waterfalls which I highly recommend. The rooms are very tidy & clean, the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. All the staff are friendly & helpful, dogs are welcome too.

Me and my GF popped in this great establishment on January 1st on the off chance we could get some food in the evening, from the beginning the staff could not accommodate is anymore with there high level service and lovely personality?s. The waitress and bar staff and cooking team were definitely 5 stars. We had the steak and ale pie with homemade chips, one word can only describe this but wow.Thank you

On arrival the pub was very cold. The bar staff had been trying to get the fire going but to no avail. My friend ended making sure it kept going. People were sat in their coats eating their meals. We went up to our rooms after a couple of drinks to get refreshed before dinner. The room was cold, surely someone should has checked that rooms were warm before guests arrived - it is December. Especially considering as we learned later that boilers has recently been replaced. To make things there was no hot water. No shower then.We headed down after a quick wash and a shower in a can fir a meal and some drinks. Luckily the bar staff had reserved our group the table near the fire as it was the only warm space in the restaurant. There are no complaints about the helpfulness of the staff and level of service they provided. The food was also really nice. But the hotel itself is in need of some tlc and a more involved owner.

Went for a meal - not booked, just turned up. The decor is a bit tired but the food and service were both excellent, and very reasonably priced. We were made to feel very welcome, as was our dog. It's a bit out of the way, but well worth the effort.Nearby activities: Close to Haworth and all it's historic attractions and scenery.
