This must be one of the darkest Wetherspoon's inside. It is in dire need of some more lighting! That aside this evening I chose one of the (discounted ) manager's specials, a chicken burger, with chips and a coffee. The order was efficiently taken and the meal was well cooked and tasted fine.

The Barum top is a very nice bar and we have now been in twice the food is delicious and they have a great selection of cider we will call again

Food was delicious and service pretty quick with friendly staff. We say upstairs. It is very poor lighting which is OK if you are not visually impaired.

For a Friday night 2 weeks before Christmas I was pleased at how quickly we got served, and the friendliness of the staff. Couldn't stop long as going on to meet friends but went back after for some more drinks. Yes, the tables could have done with being cleared but it was getting late. We went back the following morning and had the traditional breakfast - only meal we generally bother with in a Wetherspoons pub and it was lovely. All nicely cooked and hot which is a bonus. The main thing though was how nice and friendly the staff were - wish all staff could be like that!

Lively busy pub especially being a Saturday around the festive season. Yet they still managed to bring our food orders out to us in absolute record time, so well done to the staff! Great location for anyone visiting city centre places, easily accessible from the train station, Piece Hall, Eureka, etc.

Breakfast, snotty undercooked eggs with runny white, sent back to kitchen and had overcooked burnt crispy egg returned, cold mushroom, cold black cremated bacon received, when asked for refund replied with "I'll see if we can do that" no apologies or customer service..... 3 wetherspoons in the area and this is definitely the worst........

Very noisy but full so could expect nothing else. Good waiters but wish they would wash their hands after going to toilet and serving more people.!!!

Cheap and somewhat cheerful other than couple bar staff who look like they have better places to be most are friendly, glasses and tables could be cleaned better but it's wetherspoons so ?

Had run out of 10oz gammon steak. Could not think outside of the box and offer 2 X 5oz steaks instead had to couse another meal instead. Other than that normal good

Everything was fine until the food arrived.I ordered the 8 ounce steak.It came with 7 chips!! And that was all.Of the 8 ounces of steak at least 3 ounces was gristle and fat.My wife opted for the 5 ounce gammon steak which was frankly just slightly thicker than a rasher of bacon, certainly no where near 5 ounces.I have used "spoons" many many times and this was by a country mile the worst.

Using their App for food and drink order, 25 mins before pizza arrived after asking staff if there was a problem. Drinks turned up after that (2 pints) plonked on the table by a very surly looking woman who didn?t even speak! 30 mins to get 2 pints using your App what a joke.
